Fajardo looking a lot better in his passing than in his last game as he leads Als to a quick response TD and subsequent completions.

Not looking good with Robertson Daniel needing help in gingerly walking off the field. We can't keep losing DBs.
I wonder if the Argos will suffer an undue number of injuries in the second half of the season as they have played all their byes and may wear down to some extent with constant play as the playoffs approach.
They win this week (seems pretty likely at this point), and next week in Montreal and they would clinch first earlier than ever I would imagine - mid-September (after only 12 games)?!
We can protect players then for a month or two, and give weeks off to those that need them. Even with a potential loss next week, they should clinch first by early October at the very latest. It’s going to be time to start focusing on November 12th sooner than later.
It’s such a joy to watch this group this year. Just keep the main guys healthy for November.
Glad to see Boris back punting and kicking FGs, as well as punting. He is also the best kicker at stopping kick returners getting away to score when he's the last man before the end zone, something he did again today. I still prefer Boris over Haggerty as a punter.
Kelly's running, including his short 4 yard burst for a TD, ads a dimension to the Argo QB's game not there with MBT.
AJ knocks Lemon out of the way like a bowling pin on the way to his second TD.
A statement game to pummel the 2nd place Als - was needed IMO, and looks like could happen.
Chad Kelly, under the direction of coach Dinwiddie, is making mince-meat of wimpy, soft zone CFL defences that are so common in the copy-cat league now. Spreads the ball all over the field, and to all his receiver options; mix that in with a good, applied ground game, and the Argos are the best offence in the league IMO. Tommy Nield emerges today as another very good receiver option.
A bit worried with the secondary having another injury (sending in that raw rookie Pierce who is basically useless), but hopefully they find the right depth there; they let Fajardo complete a lot of short passes, but with not much damage being done.
IF the Argos O & D ever put great games together on the same game day, I can't see another CFL team capable of beating them, except maybe the Bombers if Collaros is really on.
Great game by the Argos both offensively and defensively.
Very few penalties, and they won the turnover battle by a large margin. The line play was once again very good.
I can't remember a season where opposing quarterbacks routinely complete over 75% of their passes and still loose the game. Its amazing.
Would be great to have a month or two to sell the November 12th game and really try to make it an event - Toronto loves when something is an “event” - this team deserves a big crowd and they need to pull out all the stops to try to get them a big crowd on the 12th. The die-hards can maybe get them to 20K (sadly the Argos have an aging fan base) - they need to do something to appeal to the non-traditional Argos audience and show them what a great team and great product this team is.
I appreciate after 5 decades of watching this team that any “bump” is temporary and even the 1996-1997 all time teams did not draw well either - but if any team deserves a big crowd it’s this one!
Arrrrrrgooooos!!!
Going 1-0 next Friday clinches first place with six games remaining. Amazing.

Tommy Nield with 84 yards on six catches in seven attempts showed he is a great backup who could step in if someone went down and adding depth in yet another position.
really enjoyed myself in sect 124 today...terrific effort by our guys, closest thing yet this season to a full 60-minute effort. Defence was a bit soft, but won the
turnover battle. Offense was excellent mix of run+pass, with everyone getting a touch at some point, Als could not focus on just one man.
Yes this team deserves more support, they are performing well and are very entertaining. Few penalties, no sacks, thanks Argos, job well done.
Hey, he may become a great CFL DB but for now he looks totally lost out there; not surprising for a new to Canadian ball guy with no understanding of the game; they have had secondary injuries, so depth would be nice, but trotting out a raw rookie with no experience with the team or in the Canadian game is asking a lot - and IMO they should not have had to go there.
Good to see the ship keep sailing! I love how they are building leads in the 1st quarter and closing games out with a balanced attack. Quite impressive!
Clearly Pierce is the next man up with Amos, Daniel, Carnell and Priester all down. He's gonna need to learn on the job, and fortunately we can afford some mistakes at this point.
