I think the Argo backups are better than most of the Ottawa starters in this game. Ottawa off a bye just wishing for their nightmare of a season to be over, and Argos playing for history even if it will be alot of reserve players. It is the Argo reserve players opportunity to etch their names into the history of this season. I expect Toronto to play well and win.
GO ARGOS!!!
The early in the week injury reports are out:
https://www.cfl.ca/2023/10/24/argos-...nt-on-tuesday/
TORONTO — The Toronto Argonauts and Ottawa REDBLACKS have submitted their first injury reports of the week ahead of the meeting on Saturday at TD Place.
In Toronto, quarterback Chad Kelly (leg) practiced fully on Tuesday while receiver Kurleigh Gittens Jr. (hip) and defensive back Robertson Daniel (ankle) were among those who did not participate.
In Ottawa, defensive back Brandin Dandridge (hand) was among three players who did not participate in Tuesday’s session.
Summary
Did not practice: Maurice Carnell, Robertson Daniel, Kurleight Gittens, Andrew Harris, Daniel Kwamou, Tigre Sank
Limited: Dariusz Bladek
Full: Dejon Allen, Boris Bede, Jamie Harry, Chad Kelly, Deionte Knight, Folarin Orimolade, Cam Phillips, Shane Richards
I don't expect we will see Carnell this season. I also doubt that we will see either Gittens or Daniel in the East Final, given that they aren't playing this week in Ottawa. I just feel like any of those aforementioned three players would be playing this week if there was any chance they would participate in the East Final.
I do believe that Andrew Harris will play in the East Final, even if he doesn't play this week, because he missed the final two months or so of last season and made a successful comeback in the playoffs so I think the Argos are looking at him to do the same this year.
I am sure that Bladek is available, if needed, but I don't expect that he will be needed this season.
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
Wonder if Cam Phillips will dress and play this coming game? The starting 5 pack for the play-offs will be interesting (and seems like Gittens is out - but again why no real injury status reports?); IMO - Nield has shown the talent and receiver skills to be starting.
The starting secondary (minus both Daniel & Amos i guess?) will be interesting too. Lots of inexperience, but good talent it seems, with Metchie the only real vet.
The "healthy" regulars who are sitting this one out are: Daniels, Ouellette, McFadden and Stiggers. It will be interesting to see how we line up in the secondary. I guess Priester and Harry will play, possibly one or two of Sutton, Franklin and Valente will suit up as well. Maybe Phillips in for Daniels? Or perhaps Agudosi?
At this point I assume we will not see Amos, Bladek, Carnell, Daniel, Gittens or Muamba in uniform again this year.

How bad was Muambas knee injury? He did not play a snap this year. Too bad. He would have been similar to Andrew Harris, not an every down player, but impactful when in. And he would be huge in the playoffs as I expect Harris to be again. Daniel cut short again is sad to see. Am interested in the extent of Gittens injury as well. Big losses. But an incredible testament to the depth of this team especially in Canadian content.
GO ARGOS!!!
I know it’s been speculated Muamba is being kept around the team and may not have a serious injury or any injury to be honest but is there actual any evidence Muamba took a snap at camp? I went early on in and he was already not practicing. For someone with a knee injury he does move pretty well. As speculated many times here, I don’t think he’s very much injured at all.

Argos Season Ticket Holder 2016-2021.
And again, if this was an NFL all-Pro defender coming off an MVP award on a Super Bowl winning team, that was headed for a possible repeat, I'll bet there would be tons of media and fans questions, speculation, wondering about the status of this star player - why can't he return to help the team win another title? But I guess with the CFL, nobody cares that much ?

Carlton Agudosi dropped a nice pass from Dukes on 1 drive, and Dukes is picked on a 2nd drive.

Argo ball hawks, leading the league in takeaways, at it again with an INT for a TD by Pierce.
Dukes shows his mental toughness in bouncing back from the INT with a TD pass to Brissett.
Dukes throws another INT, but this wasn't his fault.

Duane Ford and Rod Smith talking about the depth of the Argo team - it's true with so many first stringers sitting out this game, the players who are in this game are working hard and making some great plays!!
Sindani INT totally on him on an easily catchable ball, not on Dukes. It is not surprising he has never been a full-time starter throughout a season.
