The Trews - excellent rock band from the East Coast !!! Will bring some Maritime extra charm to the good ship Argonauts !
This is what I'm talking about. Kudos to MLSE for doing this. Great work. In this city for the time being until a loyal following can be counted on to pack the house each and every game creative ways need to thought of to bring people out and make it an event that transcends the football game. The great thing is - the football team is so good now, that people will leave entertained by the football and the game day experience to want to keep coming out. Good on ownership to make this happen. I am encouraged with 4,000 seats left to move with 4 days to go.
GO ARGOS!!!
GO ARGOS!!!
It has been one day since the terrific announcement about the Trews being gameday entertainment. Sales have not really moved very much in the last day. Tickets are moving, but very slowly. Probably not more than 500 in the last 24 hours maybe less. Keep getting the word out MLSE. Chad Kelly had a great interview of First Up this morning. Keep at it. Get those goldbricks on Overdrive to have Argo talk in the remaining 3 days. There should be a segment each day on the CFL playoffs. No shortage of TSN people they can interview - Rod Smith, Dunigan, Forde, Suitor, Coaches, Players, Pinball. They are brutal in their lack of coverage on that show.
GO ARGOS!!!
5 Degrees and 20% chance of precip.
Sounds just about perfect.

Perhaps MLSE should have booked the Club Supersex Singers to lure in the Montreal fans to buy tickets. C'mon Toronto buy up. No empty seats!!!!
GO ARGOS!!!
If anyone is looking for cheaper tickets for Saturday, check out www.fansfirst.ca, I have used them many times it is a Canadian resale site, very good customer service, Have never had an issue.
By the way was going through some files and came across my ticket from the 1996 East Final vs. Montreal at the dome when they blew up the Als 43-7 including Pinners opening kickoff for a score, what great value it was in the 200 level for $5.00. Followed by the next week in Hamilton. The 1996-97 Argos were the best team I have ever seen. A thing of beauty.
Looking forward to Saturday, looks like BMO Field is inching closer to a sellout, will be great to see.
An other reason to go Saturday. Think this is our unofficial ARGO fan Beer.
"Join us at the brewery all day Saturday for an Argos tailgate! We'll have our full sandwich lineup running, we'll have the 'que out with dogs and sausages, and best of all: pints of Longboat Pale Ale. This Saturday only we'll have a "keep the glass" special with our 20oz pours and special edition Longboat Troutman glass barrel mugs.It all kicks off at 12 noon at 151 Liberty, see you there!? Something in the Water Brewery
Also have the Royal Agriculture fair on if you want to visit this prior to the big game.
Need everyone out if your able.... Go ARRGOS
Judging by Ticketmaster Map it looks as though roughly half of the upper deck east side is sold. That is probably about 23,500 - 24,000 attendance so far with 3 selling days Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Walk up Saturday could account for 500-1,000 maybe? The weather is dry and cool - perfect football weather. For sure we should surpass the 2017 EF game of just under 25,000 assuming 500 per day in sales. I would expect larger media blitzes today and tomorrow - Radio, TV interviews with Argo management and players, the band. Here's hoping for a final push to get to that sellout. Team seems locked in. Montreal will definitely be coming in with an us vs. world mentality and will play like that. They could put on a show for all of us in attendance. The excitement is becoming palpable.
GO ARGOS!!!
The @TorontoArgos expect today to cross the 25,000-mark for tickets sold to Saturday’s East Division Final against @MTLAlouettes, thus guaranteeing the largest crowd ever for an Argos game at BMO. A sellout of roughly 28,000 is within reach. #CFL #Argos

This is tremendous.
BMO is going to be rocking.

Just did a count on Ticketmaster---Only 2,470 seats are left. Per David Naylor capacity is 28,000. That means that 25,530 seats have been sold. They are now in record territory for an Argo game at BMO Field. Incredible. And that record in 2017 (24,929) was subsidized by at least 5,000 - 7,500 Saskatchewan fans. These are all Argo fans. I can't imagine more than 500 - 1,000 Alouette fans coming.
If there were at 23,000 sold just before they announced Trews on Tuesday, they have sold 2,500 seats in 2 days. If that pace continues we could very well get to a 28,000 sellout by kickoff.
The atmosphere will be like nothing we have seen at BMO. The crowd noise at BMO will be legit. 15,000 Argo fans in that stadium are loud.
Two more sleeps. Cannot wait.
GO ARGOS!!!
25k would be the highest attended Argos game since 2013.
