So delighted to hear this news, really wanted Coxie to return!!! Also I agree with others, it's true that we've lost some key players but Argo management has put together impressive teams for the last couple of seasons, so I have confidence in them and think we'll see another great Argo team this year!!
The Argos have signed WR Savon Scarver, who I seem to remember from pre-season last year. I think he was with Ottawa.

Coxie re-signing is excellent news - could be poised for an even bigger season with Kelly throwing to him.
Not that concerned about Argos signing a big name and expensive FA; a couple of smart signings of not so big names but solid football players to add to a good roster would be nice. We shall see.
Who knew SI covered the league but this article claims management expected to lose these players

Argos Season Ticket Holder 2016-2021.
Mitchell has covered Argos for a couple of years for various web outfits. Writing for Sports Illustrated sounds impressive (because the magazine once was impressive) but it is a sh!t show these days. Recently announced mass layoffs, and has been caught using AI to "write" some articles. The days of legendary journos like Mark Mulvoy, Frank Deford, Walter Iooss, etc., are long gobne.

Just wondering where / when Mathieu Betts is going to sign. If he signs in the east could not be so good for us.

A 4.27 second 40 yard dash is rapid. The Toronto Argonauts have signed American receiver Jeff Badet to their training camp roster.
The 29-year-old speedster played for the XFL’s Vegas Vipers in 2023, finishing eighth in the league in receiving. In nine games, he hauled in 34 passes for 448 yards and five touchdowns but was not picked up in the dispersal draft after the Vipers folded due to the USFL-XFL merger.
In 2022, Badet played one game for the USFL’s Michigan Panthers, making one catch for 12 yards before suffering a hamstring injury. He played for the Dallas Renegades in the second version of the XFL in 2020, recording 16 receptions for 108 yards in five games before the league folded.
The five-foot-11, 183-pound pass catcher began his professional career as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings in 2018, spending a year on the practice squad before being released following training camp the next year. He returned to the NFL following his first stint in the XFL and was activated for three games with the Washington Commanders in 2020, recording no statistics. He later had brief stops with the Atlanta Falcons and Las Vegas Raiders.
Badet finished his collegiate career at the University of Oklahoma, catching 26 passes for 400 yards and three touchdowns from Heisman trophy winner Baker Mayfield in 2017. He caught the attention of NFL scouts after he was clocked running a reported 4.27-second forty-yard dash at the Sooners’ pro day.
The native of Orlando, Fla. originally attended the University of Kentucky. Over four seasons with the Wildcats, he played 36 games and recorded 82 receptions for 1,385 yards and seven touchdowns.
The Argos begin the 2024 season on Sunday, June 9 at 7:00 p.m. ET when they host the B.C. Lions.

Worth a look in TC; Badet's college ball receiver production is not that impressive, but maybe he's more in the mix, with Scarver (RedBlacks fan behind me last season kept raving about the guy like he was a superstar in waiting), to compete to replace Leake = big shoes to fill.
The hits keep on coming. Raptors have taken Dinwiddie from the Argos.
GO ARGOS!!!
It appears OT Travon Tate is heading to Calgary Alta.
