Former Argo Punter Donald De La Haye has signed with the San Antonio Brahma Bulls of the newly formed UFL.
His followers are likely dumber than stereotypical wrestling fans.
It's us vs the rest of the country
It appears the UFL will be benefiting by the return of a couple veteran QBs. AJ McCarron was recently cut by the Bengals, appears to be returning to St Louis. Jordan Ta’Mu, who was the leagues Offensive MVP last year and is on Hamilton’s Neg List, is returning to DC. In a league that is lacking veteran QBs these are welcome additions.
Both players will be playing for the standard pay of approximately $50,000.00, substantially less than what the Rock was paying them in the XFL last year. Housing issues, lower pay and concerns about the Steelworkers Union have led players to either retire or head to the CFL.
So the UFL is now down to eight teams with the first two games not scheduled to be played until March 30th.

Radically Canadian!
On Sunday UFL teams in both the USFL Division and XFL Division are mandated to cut down their training camp rosters from 75 players to 58 players.
Follow this thread as I will list any notable players involved in Sundays transactions.
As promised, the only noticeable player released today league wide was DB Benjie Franklin who played 1 game for the Argos last season. He was auditioning for a spot with the San Antonio Brahma Bulls. On that note, it appears that another former Argo, K Donald De La Haye is poised to crack the opening day roster with the release of K Matt Amendola, leaving De La Haye as the sole K left in TC.
Leaving the state of Texas and onto St Louis MO. where the Battle Hawks have placed OT Sage Doxtator, a 1st round draft pick of the Toronto Argonauts on IR.

It will be interesting to see if Franklin returns to Toronto. Will de la Haye be any more committed to professional football this time than he was five years ago?
I wonder if we will ever see Doxtator in Toronto and, if we do, can he stay healthy enough to be any kind of contributor?
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
Since Franklin left, the team has signed a plethora of DBs with impressive NCAA and NFL TC credentials which may make his return doubtful.
As for Doxtator apparently the injury is ligament related and it is unknown if he will miss the season.
Also great to chat with you Ravi on this thread.
Well Ravi, 3 teams (Arlington, DC and Houston) announced their final cuts today ahead of the March 23 deadline. No noticeable names among them. Kickoff is March 30. So far ex Argo PK Donald De La Haye is the biggest story in pro football in 2024.
The UFL kicked off its inaugural season over the Easter Weekend with 4 games.
Fair enough. Its hard to watch the games on Youtube with this huge box in the middle of the screen blocking the game. Defences dominated all games. Attendance wasn’t great. I think Houston fans are really turned off because they were basically given the woeful Pittsburgh USFL team from last season. De La Haye averaged 74.2 yards per KO but didn’t attempt any FGs.
