    Well so many other teams and players have recently done restructuring deals that if the Argos had offered Gittens one, maybe he wanted to keep his current salary level more than he wanted to stay with the Argos.

    Personally I wouldn’t fault any player for not restructuring a deal. The reality in the CFL is that you face the risk of being cut if you don’t. I don’t like that aspect of the league to be honest. Seems hypocritical to me. Teams can come up with BS injuries to 6 game players and fully pay them, but not honour contracts presumably signed in good faith.
    I expected Gittens to be moved or cut. Doesn’t mean I like it. But at least the Argos made a really good deal in trading him.
