Counting on the CFL to handle anything correctly is always a bit of a mug's game, but Ambrosie sounds as if they intend to ensure that this is properly investigated. IMO there's little or no chance this investigation was launched without MLSE having been informed. Hopefully the investigator is truly independent and able to report findings without fetter. This has potential to have a pretty severe outcome, especially given how the CFL has come down on players in a few other cases (e.g. Nate Holley). Obviously there has not been a "star" player involved previously, which makes it a bigger challenge for the league to handle. All we can do in the meantime is wait and wonder.
