The fact Eiben will also be coaching the LBs and Fields will also be coaching the Secondary (not to be confused that Myron Lewis is coaching the DBs), it just seems like the defensive coaching staff is very understaffed.

Not really a fan of this, but will wait and see.
Has any other CFL or NFL team done this?

Maybe they are tight as against the operations salary cap?

There must be one, and only one play-caller on gameday.

I think it was brought up earlier that Mace was given an extension that would presumably given him huge wage increase. I doubt hiring Co Coordinators would be more expensive than Mace's extension.

It was also brought up earlier that Dinwiddie likely received a sizeable raise, and I bet Vince Magri did as well. Managing the ops cap is at least as challenging as managing the SMS. As soon as a coach gets really good, his price goes up and something has to give.

Agree, they also lost Josh Bell and Edwin Harrison as well as Mace.
They’ve definitely gone heavier on the coaching staff on the O side.

Did Dinwiddie only receive his raise after Mace left for Saskatchewan?

Obviously we don't know the details of any contract, but it seems likely that any salary increase he received -- and I assume he received a sizeable increase -- took effect in 2024. We also don't know how much of an increase Mace would have received had he stayed. It's possible his contract extension was announced in part to give him leverage for a HC position elsewhere. The Argos also have what I bet is a fairly top-heavy salary structure in mgmt. Pinball, Dinwiddie, Magri and Murphy are all likely getting paid decent amounts. IMO it seems very doubtful the Argos, who were willing to spend something like $400,000 on three players who never suited up for a game last season, would do anything other than spend to the max on the mgmt cap.
