McD's coffee is better than Tim's as well!!
Tim's used to make their own donuts on site. But after going US corporate, now shuffle in frozen donuts.

Can't be all the same. Tim's and McDonalds have only 1 type of coffee, while Stabucks has various degrees of strength to their coffee. It might be as simple as a ground coffee to water ratio, but the coffee tastes different at each of the above chains, no doubt about it.
