    Argo donuts

Has anyone seen any Argo donuts at your local Timmies? I'm thinking about asking a relative to send one out.

Tell me more about these Argo donuts? Are they something Ti-Cat players sit on after getting their asses kicked by the Argos?

I remember seeing the Ticat ones in Hamilton last year when we had a quick meet up with some family. I wanted to buy one and slam in onto the floor.

Before the Argo game on Wednesday, I checked 3 Tim Horton's locations close to SkyDome and didn't see any. All 3 of them had Argo donuts last year. It was frustrating last year when I would ask for them and the person working there didn't know what I meant when I asked for an Argo donut even though they had them there. I assume they didn't sell well and they're not making them this year.

I'm not surprised they would not sell well...I had no idea they had that. Personally I think it's a silly idea, especially if you are not going to advertise that you're making or selling them.

Let's not be too hard on the folks working behind the counter, most who work at Timmies in Toronto would not have a clue what a football is, let alone who the Argos are. That's just the way it is.

I think collectible cups is the better way to advertise your product, rather that a dessert that could be eaten and then not even serve as an advertising product.

It's an F'ing donut. Look at the scribble on that so called Argo donut. The hamilton one has this sweet logo and the Argo one looks like pre schoolers finger painting. Tims doesn't care about anything but selling CRAP.

I think that must be strictly the way it's done in Hamilton. The logo on the Argos donuts in Toronto is pretty close to perfect.
It's us vs the rest of the country

Did you mean flipping donut? Freaking donut? Argoholic, I admire your passion for this team that we both love. I enjoy reading your posts and your contribution to this board. As someone mentioned earlier though, must you swear or disguise your swears in almost every post? It makes it hard to take someone seriously when they swear all the time and comes off low class. I have personally backed you up before, so I am not being a hater, just trying to help you out before your banned.

I'm not sure how Tim's goes about making these donuts. In all the areas of Ont. Tim's makes donuts for local sports teams..... Junior hockey, lacrosse, for tournaments....... I have mainly seen them in my taxi tours of Ontario with my boys. I have seen them in Hamilton for the Ticats..... I have not seen Argos ones but have wondered why not.....especially since Tim's is a sponsor at the games. Maybe more of us in T.O should request them.

They have people really sucked in with marketing. My brother in law must stop four times a day for coffee. He would know a good cup of coffee if it splashed in his face.

The Argo donut is just for fun. I don't think they make any real money off of it. . It's just for fun.

Thats for sure. I know people who have actually turned down Coffee Time or Country Style saying they will only drink Tim's. Meanwhile a bud of mine who's mom worked at mother parkers says the machine's stop to change packaging but Tims, Country Style and Coffee Time are all the same beans. People are truly silly sometimes

I've had the Argo donut from the Tim Horton's downtown (on Wellington maybe) last year.

You can't even compare a good coffee grounds and brewed at home or at a proper coffee shop. I just prefer my coffee at home. As far as donuts. Go to a great polish deli and get the best donut you'll ever have. Mind you they only have plum jam or the odd other jam filling. They friggin rock though. Have to admit I don't eat fast food of any kind anymore.

Does that donut chain that was going ape shit about ten or 12 years back still exsist in Southern Ontario? Something Cream? People were lining up outside for hours to get these stupid things. Had one once and they just melted. CRAP! I remember driving past one at the north end of Mavis and all these fools were standing out in a snow storm.

Krispy Kreme was packed back in the day and they would offer free donuts to those waiting in line. When fresh they're better than Tims, tims doesn't even bake in store in anymore (at least in mississauga) its all factory made. It died off, but still there. Seen some in Buffalo, NY close down. It was quote on quote by the media going to make Tims bankrupt and didn't.
