everyone thinks tims is the only Canadian coffee shop... but Country Style and Coffee time are all Canadian too. And country style and coffee time have good food while tims food is crap. Tims is just successful because its named after a hockey player

Tims is based on such great marketing. If you don't like Tims somehow you're not a true Canadian. Tims coffee might be the best selling in Canada and that tells me that many people wouln't know the difference between good coffee and septic sluce juice.
Best donuts are at any quality Polish bakery.

When I was a kid Country Style was the go to Doughnut shop. Then I assume Tim Horton's somehow got an influx of cash and really raised the marketing bar. I used to really like Coffee Time in the early 90s, but IMHO they went downhill. I haven't tried them in sometime, though, so maybe they are good again. Tim Horton's is just corporate junk. They were decent when they still had the stools at the counter.

coffee time feels like its old and out of date, but if you can get past the fact your donut MAY (or at least in Newmarket) have sat on the shelf for 2-3 days, damn is it good value!

I used to get that at the Bay and Elm location back in the day. It was pretty good. But most Coffee Times are pretty seedy now, or replaced with such establishments as Coffee Hour, or something similar.

I know someone who works at Mother Parkers in Mississauga. She told me that the coffee line stops to change packaging from Tims to Starbucks to Mcdonalds etc. but the beans are all the same run. Remember that the next time someone tells you they only drinks Tim's

I remember driving by Mother Parkers all the time in Mississauga and the area smelled great.

Yeah, there seems to be a stereotype that Coffee Times are located in seedier areas. Up in Thornhill there is a Country Style that is located on Centre Street between Bathurst and Dufferin that has been there for ages. In fact, it is one of the only things left from the pre-development days. But, that franchise has also declined under the might of Timmies.

Even though they are frozen and not made on site, I find that Tim's cinnamon raisin bagel to be the best.

In the USA its Krispy Kreme and they are horrible.

A friend texted me a picture of a doughnut from Tims 2-3 weeks ago....it was a round doughnut with blue and white sprinkles and the A shield logo in the center. Just wondering if anybody has seen these at Tim's locations in and around Liberty Village / Toronto?

Thread Update: Tim Hortons owns a factory in Ancaster that sells beans and blends to various other companies. They do however make a secret "blend" for Hortons only. So in a way, they do make their own coffee, corporately speaking. I was involved in the construction of the building, around 10 years ago.

It's in the building in which I work in. I have yet to see him there, however.

Happen to remember an exact location that is close to BMO? I want to bring a few of them to the tailgate this Saturday.

Honestly, no. I can't remember if I saw them in the Liberty Village Tim's across the Green P parking lot in front of Local or not.
