Of course no one on this website has ever used that excuse for the Argos.

Stamps are my second team but I hate them when we play them. I'm honestly getting sick of Cornish and his facial expressions and whining everytime something doesn't go his way. Perhaps he needs lolly pops on the sidelines and not gatoraid. That Issacs hit was no big deal. John that's called getting the wind knocked out of you.

Did Isaac have to hit Cornish away from the play? I wasn't sure about the legality of that play.
Tom Higgins said that the league will have another look at that play. I would say that there should have been a penalty on Isaac and the Argos were fortunate that one wasn't called there. The Stamps though did take a lot of undisciplined penalties on their own last night.

When you get down to it, there really isn't much difference between any of the fan forums other than the amount of traffic.
Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force

It could have gone both ways IMO. We were lucky for sure.
But to be honest if you look at it, it happened right when Glenn was throwing the ball so his target was either Cornish or the other guy that actually caught it. By Isaac bumping into Cornish, we covered that pass option. It could have probably been an interference call against us but then again, the reason it looked so bad was because Cornish was running with his head looking the other way, so he didn't see Isaac coming which made it painful.

I agree with Argolio. Johnson has lined up as a TE a lot this season. It's just that he had a big play yesterday, so people are thinking that we haven't seen that yet. Furthermore, I think the type of defence the Argos have been seeing dictated the use of a TE a bit. Since the first half of the Montreal game, they have seen absolutely ZERO press man coverage.
It's us vs the rest of the country

I agree with Wobbler. They used the TE more last night than they have all season. We have never seen Durie line up at TE before. If the use of the TE is because of the types of defences presented, then it shows that Milanovich is doing his job and adapting his offence. Personnel aside, the offence last night looked quite different from the offence in game 1.

In my case, I guess it was a matter of just not watching replays or the game closely enough to identify the presence of a TE. The only reason I noted it yesterday was because Suitor pointed it out in his replay of Durie's major.

Durie has lined up at TE before. Part of Milanovich's stated philosophy is to line up in tight formations in situations other than short-yardage to make it harder for the opposing defense to read their keys. He's certainly not doing it in order to use or develop old-style traditional CFL tight ends (which died off 30 years ago).

I think we definitely got away with one there.

I'd like to think I would have spotted >5 guys on the OL if we'd been doing that from time to time on normal downs, but I could certainly have missed it. I'm pretty sure that this was the first week that the TV crew commented that we'd lined up double-tight a couple of times (not just on the TD), though. I wish the TSN guys consistently mentioned substitutions and formation changes instead of emphasizing history and "fun facts", but I'm probably in the minority of the viewing audience on that.

I was a bit disappointed with Chris Cuthbert the other night. He mentioned the Argos made a controversial move in the offseason by releasing Willie Pile....Pile retired did he not? Chris should have known that one.

Maybe Mr. Cuthbert knew something we don't. "Hey Willy, you can leave you're way, or you can leave our way"

I don't recall him describing it as controversial although he did say they let Pile go. His overriding point was that the Argo defence made a lot of changes and has rounded into form quickly, which is true.

Yah I caught that one as well. Pile missed being close to family I believe.
