Suits and Chris were suggesting the strategy of Kavis with the short week is to have Cory in the lineup on Friday.

Could be the odd man out, since there are now 3 running backs.

Winnipeg is nuts if they trade Elliott to keep Buck. I loved watching Buck while he was with BC and admire his determination but he is now so injury-prone that the principal question about him is how long until he is seriously injured again. His parents wanted him to retire when he was with BC because of all the concussions he already had and the risk of severe brain damage he was already at risk of. Elliott shows some promise but he makes lots of rookie mistakes. He may or may not develop but with a 2-7 record this is the perfect time for Winnipeg to give him experience and find out whether he could be their long-term solution since their playoff hopes are dismal (although certainly not zero). Buck's career is unlikely to last much longer.

I agree. The Bombers should just go with Elliott, Brink and Goltz the rest of the way and determine if any of them are capable of being productive full-time starters. They aren't going anywhere with Buck IMO.

I get the impression they're going with Buck when he's healthy.

They will go with Buck but I don't think that he will get them to a playoff spot even if he does, by some miracle, stay healthy.

THey'll go with Buck until he kisses the carpet and gets dragged off again. Buck is one hit away from being a coach.

Having followed Buck since his inception, living in BC and following the Lions...my wife and I couldn't help but give Buck the Nickname...WTF BUCK. THE MOST over rated QB I've ever seen. If he ever ends up coaching, I hope its south of the border.

Hmmm, funny that last year, not onld did he help get them in the play-offs, but to the GC !

Little hope for a repeat of that this season though IMO.

Dorsey left the Argos on his own volition following the '09 season and signed with Saskatchewan as a free agent. Barker was willing to re-sign him and I seem to recall that the money was comparable between the two teams but Dorsey opted for Regina. Unfortunately, that decision ultimately ended his career.

i mean a young good player with lots of promise, who has a few good years, and disappears from the league for good...

I think if Boyd is still into it, he might resurface at a training camp next year, and I believe has the talent to make a roster if a team has a hole to fill at RB. But that's only if there is a hole to fill, and CB hasn't decided he's had enough.
