I'd like to pick Hamilton here to back the struggling East....but I can't.
Evil Empire it is.
I am in awe of the commitment TSN1150 to Ticats football. Marsh went on air at 3pm and Tatti joined him at 4pm. Plus pre-game show. Game plus post-game show will be about 9 hours of football talk. Wonderful CFL coverage for Ticats fans.

Demoralizing loss for Hamilton tonight.

Hazelton is a fine young receiver. Too bad what's-his-name dumped him during bizarre late-season shenanigans.
Oh we’ve been on the wrong end of a few of these demoralizing losses over the years – love it happening to Kent Austin mainly, but don’t mind seeing it happen in the hammer.
They missed their shot at the 2014 Grey Cup IMO, I think the walls are closing in a bit in terms of the ease of getting to the grey cup that has existed in the east for a while now (really montreal filled the void for a long time but the east hasn’t been consistently strong for as long as I can remember). Now with Popp/Trestman in Toronto and the fever in Ottawa (I’d agree they’re a bit overrated but beside the point), the East is only going to get tougher over the next 5 years in my view.I can see the tabbies feeling the squeeze of this moving forward.
Guess we’ll see how it plays out. Hamilton could plausibly start 0-6 now though, yikes!
Austin has long since worn out his welcome with the players. His style of coaching -- yelling at everyone constantly -- cannot be sustained in the modern world.
Collaros, meanwhile, continues to look jumpy out there. Until he either gets his feet planted better on passes, or starts running with abandon, he is going to keep struggling.

That Hamilton secondary is bad. I only saw the game recap and the poor tackling and bad coverage was unbelievable for pro DBS. I'm amazed Reilly didn't pick them apart more. The rest of the ticat defence must have picked up the slack from the secondary. Get their injured DBS back and they will be competitive and win games.
GO ARGOS!!!
The Ticat strength is on the "D" line and LBs, they put a lot of pressure on Reilly, he took some hits and they sacked him a few times. But when he did get rid of the ball the Ticat DBs were not effective and gave up a lot of yardage in the second half. One of their DBs was carried off with what looked like a season ending injury.
He's definitely not comfortable in the pocket, but he's making bad decisions as well. In the 4th, going deep to a double covered Tasker....leads to a pick. The full field replay showed a guy wide open at 10-12 yards.
Have to think Austin needs to start Masoli for one of the next two Alberta games.
Ticats were one first down away from almost certainly winning. Being bold got them the lead. Then Austin, of all people, turns into Woody Hayes with a running play on 2nd and 5.
Could only listen to this on the net, but IMO Austin blew this game big time. The obvious was running on 2nd and 4 with under 2 minutes left and setting up for a fg. Way too much time left to play that way. A first down would have been huge there. The less obvious but IMO bigger turning point came a little earlier. Collaros had completed 3 straight all for first downs, and he brings in Mazoli and the run a jet sweep for a good gain, but a holding penalty puts them in 1st and 20. He then puts Collaros back in and he throws a pick on a deep ball down the sidelines. Why would anyone take out a QB on first after 3 straigt first downs? That killed the rhythm he was in, and they never recovered.
