Looks the same to me, how disappointing.

Apparently no more "4 free flex tickets per season seat either", instead you get a 50% off for home opener seats, so instead of 8 free seats (per pair of ST) --- you get a discount for one game.....anyone still want to say that the perks are getting better in 2018? or the seating prices are getting better again? I guess lessons have not been learned while drawing flies this year to the stadium.....does anyone honestly think this is going to encourage more people to buy ST?
gah. so excited to open the email ... so disappointed when I closed it .. finally .. 12 seasons, 4 tickets we are out.
Once again this Saturday i can get in for about $20 CDN/seat into the lower bowl via stubhub / seatgeek .. why am i paying $35 myself?
Last week we had a scalper offer us lowers for $15/each 30 min before kickoff on a BEAUTIFUL sunny day.
Agreed this is very disappointing.
I would love to hear from the team what they were thinking by going the status quo for next year. Especially no changes on the east side where they need to fill it more and having to offer the upper seat side for $15ish for a couple of games.
The only thing they really they're offering this year is the discount on single game tickets being increased from 10 to 20% and 50% off the home opener.
I do see the rationale of dropping the vouchers as they want to cut back on the comps but still. We'll renew but it will be a tougher sell to recruit.
The only positive I see is that they're starting the renewal process earlier as they're going to need more time.
Again, I would like to hear from the team on their rationale here.
Does anyone have the pricing chart handy from last season? I feel like mine actually went up but could be wrong.
[QUOTE=R.J;116706]I can't recall, but has Michael Copeland personally called any fans ?[/QUOTE
I know he doesnt return calls. Which is probably worse.
GO ARGOS!!!
Anybody still feel like giving this guy anymore rope? Seeing as he always puts STH first. This team honestly needs better leadership. Has anyone read or heard an interview with him this year? We have no idea what his strategy is for this team. If someone out there knows what it is please articulate it for me.
GO ARGOS!!!
Big question is who actually makes the decisions on the price-points and perks and what information did they gather to make their choice.
Unless they have lots of corporate accounts lined up for next year, this past season seems like such a lost opportunity.
It's the same thing, nothing has changed.

Yes you are right, I stand corrected. I had a few credits on my account when renewing for 2017 so that is why I feel like the price is higher I guess. Disappointing for sure that once again, our (fans/current season ticket holder) voices have not been heard. Still uncomparable season ticket holder benefits vs other teams, still too many pricing points and in my opinion, no real incentive to buy for a season vs. single game tickets based solely on pricing. Going to have to think long and hard about renewing.
I think we all need to take a stand on this and not renew until we have seen some change with the prices. I was happy with the 8 vouchers for season tickets this year as it made up for the lower price tickets this year through other avenues. I am not going to renew at this moment and hold off.
To me the biggest issue is once again the team has mismanaged expectations.
Heading into 2016, the talk was we'll have multiple sellouts, the days of the Ti-Cats running our joint are over.....and we all know how that turned out.
Then from these business meetings - I wasn't there but going by what I read here - they were looking at changes to the seating map and possible lower price points on the east side and now this.
If they would have just said, we're going to hold the line of pricing (not up or down) and drop freebies until the ST base is built up. Would people feel better with that messaging? This is what the Jays did many many years back when they we're not drawing flies and had an older ST base too. Crowds started to come back even before the winning....perhaps this is Hook's influence from his days there?
Is seeing a plan and having it followed trough on some level too much to ask?
We'll end up renewing but not in a hurry.

We have gone backwards not forwards. I don't mind the fact that they have kept ST prices flat.... but losing the flex tickets is huge. I used all of mine and invited friends who would normally not come out to a CFL game. That opportunity has been lost. I also think that they could offer a 15% discount on merchandise, like I think we had in the past IIRC. At least that would cover the tax. Plus there is no indication that savings will be available in the stadium, so to get any savings you have to pay shipping.
I don't understand the timing of this, when they must have realized (or did they not?) that it might not be received very well. Talk about taking the wind out of the sails as we make a run for the playoffs.
I will probably still renew, because I love where my seats are, but right now that is the only reason. Mind you, with all the empty seats around, maybe I should go single game and take my chances.
I don't know what is more stunning: the lack of a price cut, the continuation of too many price points or the lack of discounted pricing for the east side. I'm stunned, frankly. Just a few hours into this, clearly the org has some very unhappy campers among its most loyal customers. This has PR disaster written all over it, I'm afraid.

The thing about this i am most upset about is that this does nothing to get new fans into the stadium. As a fan i dont want to be taken for granted but i want to share my experience inside a full stadium. I dont want this to take 5 years. It is a small stadium but when there are over 20000 in there the atmosphere is amazing. They shoumd be trying to fill the place now while they have an exciting team so they can rekindle the interest. Where is Copeland?
GO ARGOS!!!
