TFC 3 in a row now, watched the Argos game last night but was awesome to hear they had won another one .
Is the Toronto vs Liverpool game gonna be televised? I doubt it but worth asking I guess :P.

Have you ever heard of C.D. Águila from San Miguel, El Salvador? I'll be honest, until they announced the opponents in our group neither had I. CONCACAF Champions League matchs have always been a tough sell in Toronto and I fell a big part of that is because many people haven't heard of many of the teams in the tournament. However, if Liverpool FC of the EPL comes to town for a completely meaningless friendly match you can fill the Rogers Centre with 33,087 people. I'm just glad I was there to see TFC beat C.D. Águila 5-1.
What was odd about the Liverpool game was that the majority of the crowd were Liverpool supporters (at least that is what the Rogers Sportsnet people were saying). These were real Liverpool fans too because they sang the fight song or whatever it is called that Liverpool has. Who knew that Toronto was the home of so many Liverpool supporters?
Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
The thing about these exhibition games is that all these extra people show up to watch the other team. You can see that with the Blue Jays when ever the Red Sox or Yankees are in town. Their average attendance doubles as everyone show up to watch the opposition. I was walking past Rogers Playpen a few years back when New York was there and majority of people going to the game were wearing Yankee gear.
I didn't find it odd that the majority of the crowd were Liverpool supporters. Many people living in Toronto grew up following Liverpool FC and the EPL and that was the crowd they were trying to attract. I have no connection to the club so I wasn't willing to pay top dollar for a friendly match that was a glorified training session and many other TFC fans felt the same way. However, I can understand why someone who is a fan of Liverpool would want to go because how often do you get to see Liverpool in Toronto. I understand why they played "You'll Never Walk Alone" and allowed Liverpool to wear their red kits but it did bother me considering TFC was the home team. I've been to a few Red Sox vs. Jays games where they played "Sweet Caroline" which also bothered me.
The Blue Jays don't play exhibition games against the Red Sox or the Yankees, those are regular season games. I've had a Blue Jays season pass for the past 7 years. I've been to many Red Sox and Yankee games, the ratio is more like 60:40 and many of those Red Sox and Yankees fans are also traveling from Boston and New York. I don't think there were to many Liverpool fans from the UK at the Rogers Centre on July 21st. Either way doesn't the same thing happen to the Argos when Saskatchewan is town?
In other news: We finally have a defender!
Bad game vs the Fire, but ya just had a feeling they were gonna lose as Chicago pressured them all game long, and had the better opportunities.

so the Montreal Impact reaches 11 wins in its first year, the first canadian team to do so.TFC been around since 2007 still never won more than 10. I'll take that over a canadian championship anyday.
