It's game week, it's game week, it's game week, it's game week. I love the sound of that!!! WOO HOO!!!!!
Finally, Argo football is here. I'll be there Thursday for sure. Purchased a ticket on line, but then Ticketmaster will only send it to a phone. No paper tickets. My phone could not access the link they sent, so I asked for my money back and will take my chances at the gate. Hopefully this is not the way things are going. I only trust paper !!!! Especially now, after this failed attempt.
Looking forward to seeing the QB playing time - for both teams.
Montreal qbs will be under relentless pressure all game despite Chamblin using a generic defence for the preseason. To those attending the game, enjoy the carnage.
my phone couldn't connect to the link they sent me. No chance to print anything. i'll be at the game. Maybe i should try calling, as one here did and seemed to have success.
The listed starters look quite close to those we can expect to see in June, I think, with the exceptions of Ralph starting over Coombs and Richards starting at RT. But hey, fingers crossed that Richards can earn that job.
Oh wait - I just realized that's Randy Richards at RT, not Shane Richards. So: not so surprising after all. And if we're starting two NAT receivers, I guess Noel inside + Ralph outside is preferable to Coombs inside + Noel outside?

We'll see what happens tomorrow but I think Coombs may be on the way out. It makes little sense to line him up at field-side wideout IMO. He's either in the slot or not on the roster, I'd say. Mgmt may have decided his health track record makes him too iffy to rely on, or maybe they just like Noel better. I've said many times that Coombs seemed to have a certain something that made the offence work better, but with a new OC (and hopefully a new offensive approach), that may not be the case any more.

At MLB, I see Striker is listed down on the depth chart and I thought Gilchrist retired? Had to look twice when I saw St John at G ( thought of Jude)....Did J Michael Deane retire prior to the season?
Are Ken Bishop and Trumaine Washington dinged? I had them as projected starters over Poop and Dowling.
Been some shuffling along the OLine this week. Looks like two Import tackles to start the season.
Yes, looks like Coombs might be on the bubble. There are so many National weapons on this roster. Some of these guys will be on other team's rosters in a few weeks--or there will be a few 'serious' and 'undisclosed' injuries with guys stashed on the 6-game IR
At last Sunday's practice Coombs had no reps on the offense but "shadowed" the field WR the entire practice. Originally, it suggested that he might have some minor injury but after seeing the line up for the upcoming game it now appears that Coombs is being moved to field WR position. There could be a number of reasons for this move.
.Coombs has been very injury prone over the past couple of seasons and this might be a move to put him into a less injury prone playing position
.With his undoubted athletic ability, the coaching staff may feel he would be valuable as a receiver who could gain good YAC yards after receiving the ball.
The hybrid RB/SB position originally created for Clemons and then utilized by Durie so effectively, may now be phased out in favour of a pure WR position.
The above is all supposition or guess work but it does appear Coombs may be moved to WR. We should know after more practices and as we move closer to the season opening game.
It's us vs the rest of the country
Ok, CFL.ca keeps saying Striker is making the ST kickoffs?
