O'Connor gone to Calgary. All I can say is if Huff wants you, then you have something going you. Murphy is suppose to be on the Rod Peterson Show tomorrow. To explain this travesty.

you don't have to play in the NFL to make a lot of money in the NFL. Any player who has any sort of feelers down there is going to pursue them. Kurt Warner was buried in Arena football and packing groceries when he landed an NFL shot. Can you blame a guy for dreaming?
And since there are no starting QB jobs available in the CFL at the moment, he has all the more reason to see what else is out there.

It wasn't the current regime that drafted O'Connor; my bet is the new regime (Dinwiddie, Murphy) don\t really think much of him at QB, and he's a Canadian and GOBs know that Canadians shouldn't be on a CFL roster at QB.
I'm a bit surprised that Huff and the Stumps signed MOC, and maybe they will give him a real shot to compete for #2 (with Arbuckle gone) ? - good to learn under Dickenson & Bovine and Canadian QB Andrew Buckley did get to make it to #2 there a few years back. However, though the Stumps have not re-signed back-up M. Cozart, they did extend Dakota Prukop, plus have signed 2 new US college ball imports. I'll believe MOC making it there when i see it.

Wasn't there a comment by Dinwiddie shortly after his hiring related to O'Connor that needed to be explained as not meant to down play his role with the team.
Argos have done their share of supplying the league with QBs though. I wish O'Connor the best with the Stamps and hopeful that he gets a chance to play. Not sure how his signing impacts Dakota Prukop with the new 2 QB rule. Prukop playing special teams helps.
For whatever reason, Dinwidddie/Murphy never seemed to have O'Connor as a priority in their plans. Will be interesting to see what plans they have for bringing in a #2 QB. If MBT truly does have a shot at an NFL tea, then good for him but his options do seem to be rather limited. At the moment, I'm more interesting about the LB situation. Hopefully we will hear about some positive signings for this area very soon.
John White is a good pick-up, needed a veteran with the running backs.
I, too, am disappointed over O'Connor, should be mentioned though that it was a completely different regime that drafted him.

It looks like Antonio Pipkin will compete for the back-up spot with the Argos.

My best advice to "Macbeth" would be to grab a CFL job before there's nothing left for him to grab. He won't get a NFL contract... maybe a pro tryout opportunity at best. Those guys down there don't even like CFL quarterbacks in their prime... let alone a guy on the dark side of thirty. I've got nothing personal against the guy... I just think that he's making a big mistake.
I wanted Pipkin a few years ago and do think this is a nice move as a #2 who can fill in as a starter if necessary. Bryant also just signed and so maybe he can challenge for the back up as well.
QB situation is very concerning as it sits right now.
Better hope Arbuckle turns out to be the real deal and stays healthy or they could be in deep sh*t.

Big disappointment to lose O'Conner. I think there was a lot of potential.
As for Pipkin, he never really impressed when he had chances in Montreal.
I’m OK with it. I’d rather have a season of growth and be 8-10 rather than 9-9 with MBT or the Kevin Glenn types. Time to turn the page. Pipkin is only 25 and I recall showed some promise after beating our Argos. I really wanted them to take a chance on O’Conner, but the coach never seemed that excited about him.
Cause there is big need for QB competition and he has at least some CFL experience + Dinwiddie would know him from the Stumps ?
On O'Connor - looks like Huff is one to at least be open to giving Canadian QBs (and guys from Canadian ball) a shot: drafted Sinopoli and he was on their roster there a bit till he was surpassed; had Buckley who graduated to #2 there; and now takes on O'Connor.
I hope I’m wrong, but Pipkin signing doesn’t excite me. I think he got worse every time out in Montreal. I hope they van get MBT to be a reliable back up and push Arbuckle.
It's us vs the rest of the country
