Wonder why the Canada West player has not been named yet; I'll bet on one of the big O-Linemen who are on the CFL Scouting Bureau top 20 list.

I think the Shrine is only inviting one Canadian this year.

Leonard was drafted by the Ticats last year; he might get an NFL look? Ticats likely treat him as a depth DB rather than giving him a real shot to start at corner.

Interesting; I could find no mention of Knight in a number of Shrine game reports i read; saw he measured at 6-3, 276; could see a CFL team viewing him as a versatile guy who could play reps at both DE & DT with that size. BC need help on the D-Line IMO, and he might be a good 1st (overall ?) pick for them ?

I usually watch the Shrine Game to get a look at the Canadian guys there, plus you see some other US college ball stars who might make it up to the CFL (Vernon Adams had about the best Shrine Game performance I can recall; Jesse Lumsden really impressed as well) Missed the game last Thurs. evg. - on the NFL Network. Senior Bowl was today - i think Jesse Luketa - LB from Ottawa via Penn State - was the only Canadian there ?

As a fellow Mustang, and Canadian, it was awesome to see Knight light up the stage. Every snap, he looked like he had been shot out of a cannon. Always the first one out of his stance, the East team were forced to throw screens in behind him just to avoid a sack. The best player in USPORTS looks like a legitimate draft candidate. He’s quick, he’s long and at 6’4″, 275 lbs, he can play multiple positions along the defensive line.

I now have a bad feeling Knight is going to be another one of those talented U Sports players who draws some NFL interest - even a bit to have him bouncing around down there = delaying his arrival in the CFL; or maybe never.

Your going to see a record number of Canadian players get at least a mini-camp invite this draft cycle. There could be close to 30 players including those from last years draft. I'm hoping we can get the second and third tier guys into camp this season.
