Second round pick LB Josiah Schakel won the President's Trophy as 2021 USports best defensive player, gives the Stampeders great versatility as he can play strong and weak-side LB, safety and Sts.

I suppose the rumors of Bo Levi Mitchell's demise are a tad premature? Nevertheless, I suspect Calgary won't be able to come back from 10+ point deficits indefinitely will they?

Nice comeback by the Stumps; that new little RB looks very good - if they're smart they'll team him with a healthy Carey for a 1-2 punch there; I still think Bovine is slipping a bit with his passing, but still a smart vet; and their receiving corps is pretty good - with Begelton, Jorden, Sindani and Haknavanhu (who IMO has outstanding potential - a big target who can get deep and make tough catches).
About that roughing the passer call on Evans; disagree, big-time - all the defender did was grab him by the jersey from behind = a nonsense interpretation of "horse-collar" IMO - guy was nowhere near his shoulder pads or neck or helmet; what, are you not going to be allowed to tackle QBs from behind at all now? B$ !!!
Rene Pardes continues to be his old reliable self going 7/7 on FGs to start the season.
Calgary's OL has played a major role in the team's 3-0 start.

As stampeder attendance drops, they are trying a new advertising tactic for them with promotions for each of the different types of tickets they sell that I have not seen previously in my visits to their website.

Unlike the Riders, the Stamps were able to use a bye week to get five players back from Covid isolation before facing first place Winnipeg.
