Off season power rankings are the dumbest thing.
Argos lost some key players but have done a great job in replacing them IMO, not overly concerned TBH.
It seems that a lot of people love to speculate on the Argos “demise”, that’s why they play the games folks.

Perhaps Paul Woods can corroborate this but anytime you see an article penned by an unnamed staff member means that no one was willing to put their name behind these predictions. That is all you need to know about this article.

I have no direct knowledge of how either cfl.ca or 3DN works, but what you are suggesting is not the way it works for most traditional news publications, in my experience. There can be many reasons for a lack of byline, including the short length of a story. In some cases I'm aware of, reporters have withdrawn their byline if they did not like the way a story was edited, but that's quite rare. Basically each org set its own policy on what warrants a byline and what doesn't. Nowadays, most stories in traditional news outlets carry bylines, even if the story is very short.

My guess with these two "power rankings" is that the reason there's no byline is they are collaborative efforts involving more than one contributor. I really, really doubt they would be unbylined because the author doesn't actually stand behind the work.

If a reputable organization publishes something, that in effect means that the organization itself stands behind the work. Why would an org publish something if it didn't?
