guess they just announced ray as the starter too..
I hope Ray is 100% because Winnipeg will be sending the house and he's sure to get clocked a few times. He could easily tweek a knee that's not 100%. Then we'd be you know the word?
1. I don't get Riggs getting sent to the PR, while not spectacular - I thought he has been decent given his limited opportunities. In the Montreal game by the second half the Als had all 12 guys within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage more often then not - hard for our RB regardless who to run if we can't even pretend to stretch the field (I won't start on our O-Line blocking)
2. Get Ray in there and give him all the reps unless it's a blowout (and the Hamilton game in September is the last one of those I've seen at home in a LONG time) - the last 2 home games have been brutal for a casual fan to sit through - not moving the ball, no excitement or anything being generated by the offence. Let's see if we can get some momentum with Ricky back and maybe create more then 20 points for a change.
3. I think we are in for a bigger challenge then expected on Friday - winnipeg has the combination of nothing to lose and being PO'ed about the Isaac hit - not a great combination for a floundering team like the Argos. We need our defence to play at a high level like Sunday and our offence to at least have some ball possession / move the ball for field position. Regularly conceeding half the field like Sunday isn't going to get it done.
Forgot - am also glad Durie is back and seeing touches (as he should) - guy creates first downs out of the check down passes which our offence seems to be quite reliant on.
I'm nervous about this one. I think we'll see which Argo team is going to show up real early. You can usually tell if this team is ready to play.
Bang on in 96 and 97 and 91. The odd time I have a good feeling and post about the fact that I think we'll win and it just doesn't happen. When was the last time an Argo team should have gicen me the confidence to say we're going to win hands down? Actually I thought we we're going to beat Sask.
Hey argofan87 check out the first page of the Rider game day thread. You might be surprised what I wrote. It didn't pan out.

I had that feeling a lot in 2004, and especially on the day of the Grey Cup. Just knew there was no way we could lose. Felt the same way about the 1991 GC, especially when the defence was introduced and walked on very slowly, holding up their helmets and basking in the boos. That confidence/brashness/swagger in a stadium where almost everyone was hating them was breathtaking, one of the greatest moments in team history.
My topic for conversation is that IF the Argos win on Friday then the last 2 games are meaningless. Perfect time to put in a young QB to get some playing time, WITHOUT any pressure. Great way to gain experience. They would come back next year with better understanding of game speed, plus some film to watch of which to learn from.
Granted Ray will need some reps to get back in rhythm, but can you also leave him out there behind this OL and expose that his knee (which I will bet is not 100%) takes more beatings? That thought should keep Milanovich awake at night.......
True. Should clarify that the last 2 games could be meaningless. Heck, the Argos can still mathematically catch the Als too. I guess we will know more by next week's game thread.
Is Jeff Johnson hurt? We have Kackert and Emmanuel Marc listed behind him on the depth chart. Not even Riggs.
