Rod Black would have to be calling this game
Preview: Harris under centre again as Argos face Als
http://www.cfl.ca/article/preview-ha...argos-face-als
Interceptions by Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, Brandon Smith and A. J. Jefferson have helped the Argos take a 20-7 lead. Defence is looking fine.
First half observations (keeping in mind it's pre-season):
1) Crompton needs a hair cut (looks like a dork)
2) Defensive talent looks much better than in the last 2 seasons (particularly the secondary)
3) Like Henry Josey
4) Too many penalties (killing the game)
5) Harris looks poised but needs to avoid unnecessary contact.
6) Like what I see from Turk Schonert's offence (which is nothing)
7) Argonaut D scheme looks more aggressive than last year
8) Rod Black still sucks
9) Khalif Mitchell and Nik Lewis dont attend their Weight Watcher meetings
10) CFL officiating is still sub standard (at best)
11) Sam Giguere still has hands of stone (and remains hugely overrated)
12) A.J. Jefferson looks like a keeper
Harris looking confident, going 10/12 for 98 yards near the half.
Perhaps the worst roughing call I have ever seen on the opening kickoff of half #2. I think he (Shorthill) was trying to hold Spencer up.
It's us vs the rest of the country
I don't subscribe to TSN2, so I go to log onto TSN.ca and just like last week, it won't load due to some woman's soccer game that isn't even being played.....guess I will will check for highlights later....ugh
Aaahhh...success, nice to hear Hoagie & JJ on the radio...........looks like Spencer has had a nice night on returns according to the stats.
McPherson still sucks. Thank god he is here just to run 3rd down offense and if he tries to throw the ball he will be driven to the airport
For a team on a tight budget, Milo appears to have them firing on all cylinders.
Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
For those who missed the game, here's a summary.

Thought we played with more intensity and we were more physical compared to game one.
Hopefully Zander Robinson's injury isn't as serious as it looked.
From what I saw (parts of the second half and the highlights) the defense played with lots of intensity and energy. If they do that on a weekly basis it will be really fun to watch with lots of sacks and picks just like the Don Matthews days! We'll see come regular season. Robinson's injury looked bad, I hope he's alright. McPherson had one good drive and looks to be a good pick up. Gale threw a beautiful touchdown pass but also some poor throws (including the Robinson injury) but it may have been more due to the rain than anything. Ahhh football's back and I am happy!
Harris played a "regular season game", and I'm sure that was his job. My only quibble is that he didn't give the new receivers many opportunities to showcase their abilities. Kenny Shaw, one of our bubble guys, was able to make a case for himself with a nice contested catch in the fourth quarter only because McPherson threw an ambitious/questionable ball into coverage.
