hahaha...yea,Port Perry has come a long way..my parents live there. David Wilcox said it best, "Downtown came Uptown."

I see here how many are saying that the Argo's loss last night is partly due to the bad schedule, i cant accept that. The job of a pro football player is to give his ALL on every play, to do what it take to win at all costs. Then as a fan I will be entertained, last nights game to many players quit, and the Argo's did NOT entertain

I am resigned to the fact that the Jays will be in the playoffs. Having said that, my hope is that the Yanks claim first place in the AL East and the Jays would host the wild card game on Oct. 6th which will affect the Ottawa game. My other hope is that the Jays lose that wild card game at home and their season will then be over which means that only that one Argos game is affected. I have my fingers crossed.

Am I the only not opposed to having games at THF? I would rather go there than the Dome tbh. I would also like to see the Jays do well as a casual Canadian sports fan.

If they win first place or play the Wild Card game elsewhere and then lose the ALDS, no games would be affected --- unless Rogers chooses to impose the 72 hour rule, and that only if Jays host ALDS game 1. Many options !!

So you have no issue with the Argos having less than a couple thousand of their fans there? I can't see many more than that making the trip, especially on that Tuesday night, or any of the Friday night games. Fighting rush hour traffic from Toronto to Hamilton IMO will really make it tough for the Argos to get any of their own fans to Hamilton.

Valid points but how many fans will show at the Dome on the Tuesday? I just can't wait to get out of there as much as everyone else. I would expect football fans in the greater-Hamilton area to come. At least I would hope so but now I'm hearing they may go to York, Western etc. Now that would be a disaster attendance wise IMO

I'll take York or any site in Toronto, Vaughan, Markham or Richmond Hill over Hamilton.

It would be tricky for me to make it to a game in Hamilton during the work week. I hope York and/or Varsity are the venues, Guelph and Western wouldn't work for me, keep it in Toronto, appease your season ticket holders.

The Jays are far up on the second wild card team so I suspect that the worst case scenario for them now is that they host the wild card. They would have to have a pretty disastrous September in order for them to be the visiting team in the wild card game.

That is my point. They already scheduled 10 road games this year. I would hate to see it go up to 12 or 13. I'd rather play in front of 5-6k rabid Argos fans, than Ti-Cats fans cheering against them.

If disaster happens, I'd love to see them play in Hamilton. There would be a good crowd there to cheer against the Argos, I am sure, plus I would obviously be there. I go to most games in Hamilton anyway, even though I am an Argo season ticket holder and never miss a home game. (Oh oh.... I wonder, since their first home game was in Fort McMurray, if I can still make that claim, lol)

Hamilton did it with McMaster last season, don't see why Varsity or york wouldn't work for 2-3 games.
I really don't see too many people going to THF if it happens, thinking that Ticat fans would show up for an extra CFL game or 2 could be a dangerous assumption IMO.

THF may be an easy venue if the CFL could help out with some transportation ideas..... Only because I'm not sure Braley would .... But having some bus of some sort at the GO stations may help. Take the GO to Aldershot ..... An hour ride from Union .... And then hop on the bus to THF ....maybe 20 minutes? There may be a better station..... I'm just familiar with that one.
Bus from York to THF? ......even better with the Argos logo on the side😄

All good ideas, but if the league is putting money into this, why not just help out with the cost of temp seating at varsity?

I'd be surprised if the U of T would allow temporary seating. If they did they would also have to allow temporary washrooms. Plus there are no concessions.

I can hardly wait for next year when the Argos are out from under the Rogers thumb.

What are your predictions on Argos attendance at home games if Blue Jays make the playoffs? I think it will be horrid.

If we get stuck playing in Hamilton I'll want a refund. We signed up for games in Toronto which is already 2.5 hours from here.

No more than 10,000 the rest of the season. Best bet for 20k would be the cfl playoffs.

Yes, but Rogers will have much less ability to screw over the Argos there.
