remove 2 bye weeks [helps tsn not bump cfl up against hockey playoff] and this most recent change and the gc game will be played BEFORE the time change making for playing more of the game in daylight hours AND hopefully better weather
I would still move kickoff to 4pm local

I don't see them getting rid of two bye weeks unless and until there is a 10th team (if that ever happens). Three byes are needed at the moment to prevent one team from playing two games in the same week, with one of them on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

I'm glad (but not surprised) to see that TSN has put up a caution flag on moving the season back even earlier, as Ambrosie had suggested a few times a year or so ago. As it is, if the Stanley Cup final goes six or seven games, it will finish after the CFL season begins. If there's ever a Canadian team in the final, the CFL season opener will be completely buried.

That's been my argument against moving the season up from the beginning. Even if there is no Canadian team, the NHL finals will still get all the National media attention over the CFL.
It's us vs the rest of the country
