Not a chance with Buono running the show he has weakened the clubs connection to the community by cutting loyal players. And treating Andrew Harris the way he did. Its almost like he is intentionally driving the lions into the ground to lower the teams value so he can participate in an attempt to buy the lions for cheap. He has made so many questionable decisions over the last few years its hard not to think that way. He really plays hard ball with canadian players and uses your off field job or the fact that your wife has community connections to lowball you. He's done it with several players over the years. This town has had enough of Wally he should retire and pay to go to games.

I don't buy this for a second. In his past he has also released good import players like Allen Pitts and Kelvin Anderson, and let Geroy Simon walk as well. He is strictly business, and doesn't take emotions into his decision making. It may be harsh, but it also is what has kept him successful over the years.
It's us vs the rest of the country

Wally is known to play hard-ball with veterans who he feels are on the wane or have too much mileage, plus are paid well. Sometimes this strategy can work, but other times it can back-fire I think. I believe good ole Wally really believes he can just find new and cheap import talent and plug them in wherever and it will work and they'll have a good TEAM. We shall see this coming season = real chance for Wall-E to prove he is still this great football mind; they have some good talent on the Lions but like all CFL teams, IMO they have some holes. Declining attendance in BC lately, early play-off exits (that slaughter in Montreal 2 seasons back was embarrassing), merry-go-round at HC and now back to Wall-E again: poor season there with no play-off appearance might really hurt in terms of creating more fan & media apathy. But hey- maybe drives the price way down for some prospective buyer; though I bet clueless old Braley thinks they are worth 10s of million$.

I'm not sold on Jennings at QB yet, either.
