So, just what is it that you think I don't like? Do you mean the CFL? - I've been watching/following the CFL since before most posters here were born (i would think anyways - I'm talking early 60s) - always been an Argo fan, but also consider myself a pan-CFL fan - so I don't just follow the Argos closely but follow all CFL teams; and I have been watching (on TV) a huge majority of CFL games shown in a season for decades now - rarely miss more than a couple of games in a season. Just FYI anyways - but if you want to conclude I "don't like" the CFL - hey, be my guest.
Or maybe you think a fan of a league or team should gladly or blindly accept and like every single aspect of that team or league?
Or maybe it's just better - on these type fan forums anyways - not to dare to be critical of any import players? At least this site does not feature the constant bleating of "ratio problem" and all sorts of other negative cliches towards Canadian football talent that some other CFL fan sites do. I'm glad for that.
Receivers like an SJ Green do drop passes but what is his overall production rate like? For every dropped pass, how many catches and yards is he raking in? Some players aren't as productive and when they drop passes and offer little to the offence, then they become replaceable. Someone like a Sam Giguere really shouldn't get as many opportunities as he has, and Mike Jones shouldn't start. They don't produce at a rate as someone like an SJ Green or whomever.
I agree. And guys like Jones (has he been demoted - in his 2nd season of ultra limited opportunity in terms of passes thrown his way?) or Giguere (still a little used 5th receiver type in his 2 CFL team stops) could/should be replaced for weak production - even it is in fairly limited opportunity, IMO. And you're singling out a couple of Canadian receivers, which is fine with me; but is it not OK for me to single out weak hands, limited talent American receivers ("whomever" ?) who have dropped passes galore or offer little in YAC or big play ability - many examples to go to there - and who get significant CFL playing time and continue to rate more with other teams in the league even after they show limited ability? That's the part I don't get.

Again, "Boardhands" has second-best conversion rate in the league. I guess we can ignore that stat, tho.

So, you'd want Boardhands over SJ Green for the Argos receiving corps? - surely the stats can't be ignored there ?
And the much maligned Shawmad Chambers has a better "conversion" rate than Boardhands does so far this season; as do Argo receivers Malcolm Williams & Jimmy Ralph for that matter - you want to ignore those "stats" ?
Priceless.

The Tiger Cats have released WR Ricky Collins who they obtained from the Riders in August in exchange for DE Mike McAdoo and a seventh round draft pick next year. Despite having a fairly successful rookie season catching 48 passes for 720 yards last year, he has not played in any game after being injured in the first game of the season.

Hamilton has added a QB coach, Dan Morrison, as well as five players to its PR, none of whom are likely to play this year but could be part of a rebuild next year.
As one would expect, Morrison has spent time previously under HC June Jones during his 16 years of college coaching and is thus has a strong understanding of Jone's style of offence.
Descriptions of the new players can be found below, including a scouting report and video of the new QB, Dane Evans.

Castillo injured trying to make a tackle. He should have been ordered not to attempt such foolishness: he's too valuable to the team.

Shamawd Chambers, who was traded from the the playoff bound Eskimos to Hamilton, had a classic reaction to the early elimination of the Tiger Cats from playoff contention: "Well this sucks".
Next Friday, all Argos fans should be cheering on Hamilton to beat Ottawa. GO CATS GO! A win, puts the Argos one win away from the Grey Cup.
I make no bones about the fact that I cheer for Hamilton against the western teams (of course depending on how they and the Argos are situated in the standings). Personally, I hope Ottawa beats them next week, because I want the finale in BC to mean something. Otherwise, the Argos would be 4 weeks between meaningful games (yesterday to the Nov 19 EF). That can be a lot worse than not getting a bye.
It's us vs the rest of the country
