Just because the Dome had more bums in seats (even though we know why), doesn’t make it a better venue.

"So, Argofans, give me 2 ideas (or more) to get the EXISTING fans back. Not new fans! The ones of a certain age, who have maybe forgotten the fun of a live game, are embarrassed to support CFL in Toronto, or whatever."
1. as al davis said; "just win baby !"
2. make the end zone legal depth and 1 end the same surface as paying field
very very bush league and commish should have addressed it - instead he chose to ignore it like an ostrich - corporate lackey - shame on him
----
for cfl, show all games on cbc for exposure
i can watch nfl on ctv without a subscription
cfl requires pd connection to rogers./bell
fans of a certain age are less likely to have a tv subscription which means less likely to see cfl games on tv [tsn required]
and grew up watching free tv and probably grew up watching cfl on cbc
[please no more ac/dc music, pretty please]
all pre season games should be free of charge - again exposure, or $2 for nose bleed seats, $ donated to charity
season ticket holders attend pre-season games at no charge - if their seat is still empty at 1/2time, seat is up for grabs so fans can move to better seats- only for pre season games
again, exposure
that nose bleed seat guy may buy a better ticket for a season game

Winning helps but the Argonauts won grey cups in 2012 and 2017 and attendance went down afterwards. Attendance was also low during the Flutie years.
People aren't coming to or staying away from games because of the endzones. There was a different commissioner when the Argonauts moved into BMO Field.
Nobody watches CBC anymore and their streaming service is subpar.
You'll never get people to agree on what music should be played.
We didn't have a home preseason game in Toronto before and in previous seasons they did give additional free tickets to Season Ticket holders.
More like an Old idea:

Yah, please do not refer to BMO Field as an "illegal stadium".
The police are not going to charge the CFL, MLSE, or the City of Toronto with a crime over the size of the field.
"Non-regulation field" is a more accurate description.
(There is nothing wrong with the stadium btw.)
Prior to renovations at BC place in the last decade, I understand that their endzones were only 18 yards deep. It was that way for 20 years, and IMO the fact that their endzones were smaller due to construction of the stadium, made the league better. I always thought 25 yard endzones were a little too big.
It's us vs the rest of the country
Well, since you asked - Rule 1, Section 1, Article 2:
Article 2 – Fields Less Than Regulation Size
If the regulation length of a field is not available because of a fence, a running track or any other object, a clear line of demarcation shall be established at least one foot toward the playing surface from such fence, track or object.
A line shall be painted on the playing surface and shall be considered as the boundary line. A player who touches this line, the surface outside the line or any object outside the line shall be ruled as having gone Out of Bounds
Faster + Louder = Better
Notice that players have now started to comment on the playing surface in the north end zone. Murray calls it a "safety hazard" Murray also stated "you can't change directions in (that) end zone" Ellington, an outspoken critic of the playing surface suggested they should "use other turf that has rubber in it" If that would address the problem--why hasn't it ben done?
In the article it was implied that Ambrosie has attempted to resolve the issue but without success.
The groundkeepers should be commended for ensuring the grass field is kept in immaculate (primarily for the soccer players I might add) but the north end zone continues to a disgrace and one that no professional sports team should have to play on. Do we have to wait until a crucial game is decided by the end zone or worse a player is injured, before something is done?
It is time for MLSE to step up and solve this issue. Unfortunately, it is a prime example of why the team needs a president, who has the sole task of looking after this team's best interests.
Some issues are not so easily solved when the bean counters look at the options. Frankly, MLSE probably looks at it that they already did a lot by even having the team in BMO so the team has to carry it's weight financially before MLSE makes any expensive concessions that will have zero impact in ticket sales. Having a president with a sole task doesn't help that.
