Argo negotiation list QB Baker Mayfield has led the Cleveland Browns to a 21-17 victory over the New York Jets on Thursday, the Browns' first win since 2016. I doubt we will be seeing him anytime soon and probably never.
Looks like the Argos are bringing in competition at kicker and more developmental depth at QB.
Hope they decide to keep Medeiros as punter and use Menard-Briere on FG's. I'm with OV on this. Having only 1 kicker dressed is not a smart practice.
We have added INT QB Greg McGhee and NAT K/P Felix Menard-Briere to the practice roster

Possibly the 3rd kicker the Argos will use in 2018.
Not the greatest look.

Kicking has been a real sore spot this year. Medeiros has been OK mostly, but missed some makeable FGs. Pfeffer was really bad. Getting long-term solution(s) in the kicking game has to be a priority.

Don’t want to sugar coat the missed kicks from Saturday, but Medeiros did limp of the field after one of his punts. I wonder if that anything to do with his kicks hooking left.

Medeiros was shaken up a bit earlier in the game I thought. Came off wincing and limping. Probably explains why the new kicker is being brought in. Pfeffer doesn't look like there is anything wrong with him now. I did like his punting but to me Medeiros has a stronger place kicking leg.
Surprised Popp hasn't brought in a couple of import kickers or even bring Waters back. A good PK often makes the difference between winning and losing in the CFL nowadays.
Menard-Briere is an intriguing pick up. His performance at the San Diego Pro Camp demonstrated he has a strong leg and can kick both punts and FG's He was 17 of 20 kicking FG's, one 52 yds. An All-Canadian U Sport punter in 2016

That was quick.
I guess he's washed out of three teams for a reason.

It might well be both his FG% and punting. He was 75.4% in college (https://www.riderville.com/players/q...ylswyk/159075/) and 1/3 with the Riders. In the CFL in 2018, every kicker except Medeiros and Pfeffer are 82.5% in FG or higher and five are at 87.9% or higher. In FG%, Medeios was marginally higher than QVG at 76.5% while Pfeffer was well below at 50%. Medeiros (47.6) and Pfeffer (47.3) beat his punting average of 42.5 in college as does every other punter except Josh Bartel.
