Wow, I was following the game (apparently only for 3 quarters or so) with "Boxscore" at cfl.ca and somehow thought the game had ended (or nearly so) with Hammy up by a couple of TDs. I was thinking the Argos are in fact a mediocre football team. So I'm surprised, but based on the first 3/4 of the game, I'd say that there's still a great deal of work to be done.

Posey... what an excellent catch, not to mention the next TD in overtime.

I would like to start off by thanking a couple of posters for the comedy gold in going through this thread. Paraphrased Quotes like "fire Brady", " "Wilder is back to his crap self" just make me want to laugh.

I think some people just may need to switch to decaf. 

This game meant everything to Hamilton. The loss means they basically have to win out. At Winnipeg and home to Calgary next 2 weeks, good luck with that. The game meant more to them and the Argos still found a way to win.

Outside of Calgary, this league is filled with parity. Even the bad teams lose close games more often than not. Bombers are 10-3 and should have lost 2 games to Montreal.

I was watching with Argolio, and this is a fact, wen the Argos were down 35-24, he said the Argos would win 38-35. Whether or not he actually believed it, I don't know. In this case the power of positivity worked out.

I disagree on Masoli. The guy is a playmaker. He is a very dangerous QB because he can beat you in so many ways.

Masoli will make one play that makes you think "Wow, this guy is the real deal" followed by a "WTF is he thinking!" Look towards the play at the end of the 4th when Darby almost took one back. It seems that Masoli always saves his best for the Argos but fortunately his best wasn't quite good enough.

BTW, the Argos were horribly offside on the 3rd and 17. Still, nobody told Hamilton to (i) surrender a 92-yard punt return, (ii) put the ball on the carpet inside their own 20 and (iii) abandon the running game that had been very effective all night.

I like Masoli. He is the prototype CFL QB if you can find one that has the arm to go with his feet. I believe he will only get better with experience and coaching.

I agree. Cats are actually in a good place with him and June Jones. I think Jones is an outstanding coach. They really just need to improve their Canadian talent. I think that is what they will focus on in the off season.

Count me in on Masoli, one of his strongest traits is resilience, makes a bad throw and comes back firing.

Many Cats' fans claim the offside, but they were not. I watched the replay minutes ago many times, stopping it exactly when the ball moves. All players are clearly onside, demonstrating perfectly timed routes. They are really grasping at straws to cope with the loss, which was more about not protecting a 14 point lead than Refs screwing them.

Impressed with Hamilton's game plan, and they look ready to bounce right back.

They could, seemingly, contend for the East next year. With Masoli and Johnny Football, we'll have to be ready.

They have some gamers; Dean, Masoli, Fantusz, Washington, Tasker and Whitlock looks to be an explosive weapon.

My son and I sat on the Go train with Dave Foxcroft before a game last season and I asked him why receivers look offside on almost every play.
He said as long as the receivers back foot is on the ground the rest of their body can be over the line of scrimmage.

Some Ticat fans are using a screengrab which clearly shows the Ticat players out of their stance, but I still think one of those receivers was over the line there.

Agreed Gonzo, except I think Fantuz is near the end of his career.
The team had tuned out Austin and his act, June Jones is a perfect contrast and well respected.

Collaros' likely departure will free up a lot of money to overspend in free agency. I'm not looking forward to seeing our list of projected 2018 free agents...

Why would you think so? Did you review the film, stop the recording at the exact moment of the snap? It's there for everyone who wants to see. Never mind the back foot (which I also did not know), all feet are onside. Clear as day, no argument when presented with evidence. If we were neighbors, I'd say come over for lunch and I'll show you, . I definitely would not recommend basing your decision on a screen grab by a Cats fan, showing the ball halfway on its way to Ray in the gun.

The screengrab the Ticat fans are using is not when the ball was snapped. The Ticats are definitely out of their stance.

I agree 100%. I was tied up and could not watch the game, so recorded it, but followed the boxscore on TSN. When we were down 35 - 24 in the fourth, I put my phone away and figured the Argos were done - another bitter loss at THF. But then they came back. This shows grit and resilience, which is what you need down the stretch towards the playoffs. So much of this game is mental. If our team really starts believing in itself - and winning a game like this while coming from behind after not playing great goes a long way - then I do believe anything is possible. The last time we won at THF was 2012, the year of the 100th Grey Cup. And we all know how that turned out. Can't wait for Saturday's game against the Riders.
