Still a lot of interesting names on the board for bargain hunters. I'm increasingly convinced we are going to see Brandon Banks sign with the Argos. Other guys I'd look at (assuming they remain unsigned) include Jhaustin Thomas, David Watford, Stefan Charles, Thiadric Hansen and, from our own list, Josh Huff, Nelkas Kwemo, Nick Shortill, John White, Cordarro Law, Robert Woodson and Ricky Collins.

Is Watford capable of starting some games at quarterback if necessary? I guess that I'm really asking if he's better than Pipkin? I was really hoping that they's bring O'Connor back on board.

Very tough to say if Watford might be a more viable emergency starter than Pipkin. The former managed the Ticats to two wins last year but was very limited in the plays he ran; the latter has a lot more experience from his days in Montreal (where he sometimes looked very good); for the Argos last season he showed a few flashes in situation usage, but he did nothing (albeit had very little to work with) in the season finale.

Hopefully McDonald or some other newbie develops quickly into a viable No. 2. I too was hoping we'd bring back MOC. Would love to know if the org kicked those tires or not. It's possible he assessed the Lions as his best chance to see game action, given that Rourke is the least experienced starting QB in the league.

I want nothing to do with Watford. He is nowhere near as good as Pipkin. I want to see Pipkin with a full training camp and pre season reps. It's unfair to judge him on a game he played last year with basically the practice roster as his offence.
It's us vs the rest of the country

I hear you... but Pipkin (like Watford) is currently unsigned by anyone.
