Our punting and kickoffs are a mess but it appeared Palardy might have done the second-last KO and it went deep. He also got off a good punt. I'd think long and hard about giving him all three jobs and cutting Alix, who looked completely hopeless out there.

Nice but not surprising to see Harris come back with a solid fourth Q after nearly three quarters of miserable offence. And Whitaker is a beast.
I agree with everything you said and would add that what I love about Harris is that he never gets flustered even when things are going well, which has helped Argos win a lot of games in the fourth quarter. His throwing the ball just before he goes on the field and even on the field before his first play if he has time to get away with it shows he is always working on his game both physically and mentally. In addition, his calmness has helped him lead the league in red zone TD conversion percentage.

i don't know how often I was frustrated by Whitaker's play being a major contributor to Argo defeats when he was an Al. He ended up with the winning TD and 99 yards rushing tonight. Great to see him doing the same as an Argo.

We are a legitimate contender in 2015. We may not be at the level of Calgary and Edmonton at this point but we are not 100 miles below them. We have four games to make a determined run, and I believe we have the personnel and coaching to make it happen.

I'll temper my enthusiasm regarding our D when considering who was playing QB for Montreal for the majority of the game.

How about this balance? The Argos attempted 22 passes, but rushed the ball 24 times.

Game was closer than it should've been. I was never really worried that they would lose but it shouldn't have been this close. Everything was clicking until Pallardy's miss in the first quarter and then from that point on, the offence was stuck in neutral until the 4th quarter. The D however, played great until the final few minutes. Gabriel and Foley were fantastic as was Jefferson. Less penalties today too. Whitaker had a great game and I was happy for him getting the winning touchdown and 100 yards. Kicking was poor all game, but especially punting. Can't wait for Waters to come back!
Nice to see the Argos in blue for a change.

Agree, Montreal has really been horrible in the last 3 weeks. They were in there, close enough to every team in the east at 5-6. Now, they are done as far as making the playoffs in the east dropping their last 3. They'll have to get in by the back door crossover, which they do not have as of now. They are only 0.5 games ahead of Winnipeg based on the loss column and tied with BC. They must have a better record than both to make the Western playoffs.

Not to go off topic, but doesn't Montreal have a winning record against Hamilton, meaning that they can still make it in the east should they win all their games and the Ticats lose their remaining games? Cuthbert and suits said they were done in the East, did they not.

So it's fun reading through the thread after the game .....
....get rid of Alix ..... put in Stala ..... WATERS Where are YOU?! ....
I am sure there will be some movement in the kicking department .... or get Stala more training.

Too bad that Sewell is not ready .... hopefully with another week of practice the O-Line will be improved .... yet the run game was awesome today. Good for Whitaker back in his old stomping grounds. I wonder if it was Higgens not wanting him their offense.... bad for the Als good for the Argos! Milanovich knew what he could still do.

The D played well for the most part. .... Miles was super..... and the dline played well. I think the D are starting to peak, and still have room for improvement over the next few games to take us through the playoffs.

I sometimes wonder if the offense is the trial and error by the OC and the HC .....
"okay its the start of the game , lets do these series of plays ..... perfect it works! ..... now scratch those , lets do plan B and C and D ..... mmmm field goals and rouge ...... all rigth its the 4th , bring back the plays that worked and see if we can do it again"

Glad for the win .... hope they can play well against the Stamps .... darn , the Stamps are coming off a loss and will want to rectify that .

    GO ARGOS GO!

I believe I heard that as well, the good thing is they still have incentive to win for the Western crossover.

Final stats showed Miles had 8 tackles to lead the team, not 6 as I previously said, as well a key sack. Quite a game!

In a game where Harris was not at the top of his passing game, passing for only 182 yards, but did what he had to do to win, the importance of a running game was critical as Whitaker gained 99 yards and scored the winning TD.

2015 draft pick Daryl Waud also deserves some appreciation. He doesn't play every down, but makes plays when called upon.

Well said, Paul! On top of that, the Argos have played 3 out of 14 games on home turf. This team has to be one of the best stories in the making in CFL history.

Montreal is not out of contention in the East. They can still finish tied with us and could win the season series if they beat us by more than eight points. (They'd have to win all their remaining games and we'd have to lose all of ours so it's extremely unlikely, but still possible.) They can still finish ahead of Ottawa (three behind with four to play) and could still catch Hamilton and have already won that season series. So the commentators were wrong in every respect.
