Both good choices. Argos were heavy underdogs going into that game, and they really struggled offensively against Calgary for a few years leading up to it. If I had to pick 1, it would be Vaughan's as the game was done if that never were to haopen.
It's us vs the rest of the country

And after the 2017 Grey Cup Argo fans, unbeknownst to them would suffer through back to back 4-14 seasons then a canceled season. Thanks to Vaughn, Argo fans only had to wait 5 years between Cup victories instead of 10.

The Minter TDs were more significant I will concede.

From 2016 to 2019, the Argos went 22-50 during the regular season - only slightly better than the horrific 1992-95 era (20-52). The one bright spot was the second half of the 2017 season and that march to the Grey Cup.
Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force

    But what a bright spot.

I've supported this club since I was a young lad (50 now), and the one saving grace of embracing the pain of the many write-off seasons is that they've always paid us back with Grey Cups. And some of them were true story book championships.

I look back at the old-timer die-hards (and yes, I know that to the kids, I am now among them) and the Grey Cup dry spell pre '83 and I am awestruck in regards to their emotional fortitude.

I love winning Cups but my biggest Argos hope is not to see any more 4-14 seasons for many, many years to come.
