I have no confidence in Fuller winning the fight for the ball but on that particular play, he did have a step of separation but the ball was a little short. I'll cut him slack on that particular play...but that being said, if you touch it, you should catch it.

Yes, the Argos made enough errors to cost themselves the game tonight. But that one blown call on Masoli's fumble in the 4th quarter was an absolute game-changer. We have replay in this league for one reason and one reason only and that it to get obvious blown calls like that one correct. On what freaking planet was Masoli's arm in throwing motion on that play? That one play changed the course of the final half of the 4th quarter. I haven't been this ticked off about the officiating in a long time.

That call absolutely turned the game around, Masoli knew that he fumbled the football.
Worst part is the replay officials seem to be anonymous and immune to any accountability.
In truth the Argos lacklustre play on offence and special teams contributed equally to their downfall, they are getting worse as this season continues.

I spent an hour in the middle of the night tossing and turning over this game. The more time passes, the more pissed I'm off at what transpired yesterday. It seems like this team is destined to lose on Labour Day and they always find a way to make it happen.

Same here, frustrating on a couple of fronts, officiating was terrible but a good football team wouldn't put themselves in a position where those calls make the difference.
Hopefully team morale doesn't begin to suffer with these losses.

Bring back Tom Higgins to over see these out of control officials. They're the deep state of the CFL. The untouchable establishment. The League puts this game on Prime Time, I expect to try and get the bigger ratings, and then subject us to amateurs.

I think all the transgressions of the officiating has been covered. We're not all homers on this site. Just want to see fairness.

I am also concerned that Ricky Ray's arm strength has slipped after that last shoulder injury, and then he took another pounding. What happened to the tight end formations that gave Ricky more protection? If they're going to keep playing Fuller bring him in more often as a TE to block and release. They actually did that on one play. A real TE can be very effective now in the present CFL as a possession receiver IMO. Got to try something different.

Yup as annoyed and po’ed as as I am like everyone else, it’s a fact of life, cfl refs and the command centre are woefully unpredictable. We don’t see a team like the stamps in a position to rely on referee calls – they just go out and win.

Anyhow, I couldn’t make it past halftime yesterday. Don’t get the timing, miss the old 1pm and 4pm kickoffs but I’m guessing this was tsn driven (and backfired)

Bottom line, DONT BLAME ANYONE but this bunch of LOSERS/ARGO's for the loss.

I'm embarrassed to be an Argo fan after watching that pathetic performance.

This game should NOT have been close enough for a blown call to have effected the outcome.

    AGREED....

I usually don't get angry watching a game, but this game had me furious. The Oshawa Hawkeyes could have beat the Ticats yesterday.

    - Lirim punt that led to Ticats winning score

    Yep- agreed.

And the Ticats win also came down to a couple of big pass plays - long bomb TD to Banks and the late deep throw in the end-zone to Tasker where Murray got called for PI (and well deserved - not only did he bump the receiver before the ball got there, but he also threw his hands up in Tasker's face without looking around for the ball = screening = it was double interference) ... they won partly because of taking some deep vertical shots down the field ... something Ray & Trestman seem to be afraid of mostly - is Scotty M still around to whisper check-down / short pass as the basis of this offence ?

I'm beginning to think Ricky has lost something. His longest pass in that game was 24 yards. As in the past three seasons, passes of two and three yards are never going to get you anywhere. I absolutely hate watching those two yard passes. As bad as they played, they were still robbed. On the Ticat late touchdown drive on second down, the ball definitely hit the ground before the catch was made. I was at the game and they showed the reply several times and it was obvious. And....no one challenged that ruling, so why did the game stop and the command centre suddenly overturn the call??? It wasn't a scoring play. Command centre should never be allowed to stick its nose in like that. At least the Ticats are giving free tickets for a future game to everyone that was there. We stuck it out until the end and did not get home until 12:30. I agree that this game should be played in the afternoon. The day after is a back to work- back to school day. Both games can be afternoon starts in their respective time zones. Don't understand why TSN thinks an Eastern game is better in prime time, when all the winning teams are out West.

I had the same night and morning so far. I was worried this would happen and I am still mad as ever. Should refuse to play in Hamilton on Labour day like we did in the 80's. That is why I choose not to go to Hamilton for Labour day!! What a crap record there.

I’ve never heard of this re: refusing to play in the hammer on LD in the 80’s, what’s the story there I’m curious.
