Yeah that was a little frustrating but on the bright side, we were briefly mentioned in "Fort McMurray Today" so on that basis, I declare the trip a complete success!

Aside from T-Bone and I there was Lori and Finn, the Argonotes plus a few dozen other Argo fans.

To have called it a home game was a bit of an insult, but it was still an awkward situation for the team I will admit.

    My few cents ......

Thank you Harris for knowing the playbook. I think you have almost all the fans support now!

I am so glad that we have Himebach as our OC. The esks had him last year, but with the new OL coach and the rookies in their camp you definitely could see the difference.
The rookies on the Defense were great and I thank the defensive coaching group and Barker and Rossetti for that .... I hope
Barker can train another player personnel staff to take Rossettis place ..... Also hoping he has a year or so to do it .... Of course I'm assuming the players will keep up the intensity and improve as the season goes along. As we in
Argofans all know things can change quickly.

I would say Milanovich out coached Jones this game. .... Which should bug Jones to no end, so watch out in the next game.

The poor attendance in Fort Mac does not bode well for another game ( besides pre season) to be held there. Moncton games I believe were much better attended. It helped in these challenging times (pan am and Fifa and rogers ) but hopefully those issues will be behind us for awhile.

Just FYI 'cister, Jonathan Himebauch is offensive line coach (and assistant head coach). Marcus Brady is still offensive co-ordinator.

Actually that's what I meant ... And I do know that but .. Thanx for the correction. .... Wonder if it's the iPad spell check that didn't like OL coach ....

    that's it for just now
Regarding the wideouts possibly not being open much, I believe Edmonton played a lot of zone. If the zone took away his first read, then he went to his 2nd, that is just smart, protect the football QBing. Every zone is designed to take a way something. The fact that he was able to quickly determine where to go with the ball, shows how well he was prepared.

You're likely right... but with that shit camera work, who could tell?

I switched over to the Canada/England soccer game after the Argos so I didn't get much of a look at the pRiders, but statistically Drew Willy had a very efficient game against them so I'm given to hope that Harris could as well. I'll have to watch the Bummers/pRiders on TSN onDemand this week to check them out a bit. Any thoughts on the matchup? (or should we save this for when T-Bone opens the next matchday thread...?)

I hate playing a team that has something to rally around (Durant). This game scares me.

Very pleased with the game 1 performance from all 3 phases. Harris was sharp and the receivers were making great catches. The Defence played with energy and swagger and I loved it! Now, the challenge is to maintain that throughout the season. The Argos home colours looked sharp in an outdoor setting, can't wait until next year!

Well, Collaros was wearing white on Friday night, so I can understand the mix-up from some.

Do you really mean all white? I hope not. Their best look by far, IMO, is white jersey and blue pants.

If they wear their all white uniform I hope they properly accessorize with something dark blue, maybe a scarf or blue shoes.
My personal favourite is the white jersey, blue pants and white socks!!

Better believe it Paul. "For the 1st time since the 60's, the #Argos will wear all-white uniforms this Sunday vs. the @SSKroughriders. #CFL"

Good observation Cister. I wouldn't be surprised if Himebach is the next Argo Assistant tabbed for a HC job next year. The guy is going to be a HC somewhere sooner or later IMO. Montreal? or Ottawa?
