It makes sense that Chapdelaine was named head coach. The Montreal Canadiens would never hire a HC who could not speak French and the Alouettes should do the same.
This would confirm Thorpe will be leaving at seasons end, I would think. I can see him taking over from Benevides in Edmonton.
Argos Season Ticket Holder 2016-2021.
It would not surprise me if Wettenhall cleans house for next year.
From Popp as the remaining GM to the new HC with a new staff.
Maybe keeping AC as either the OC or QB coach.
You're all assume Thorpe even wanted the HC job.
The Als have said that Chapdelaine is only interim at this point and that he and the coordinators, including Thorpe, will be encouraged to apply for the full-time position at the end of this season.
Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
I am not a proponent of someone having to speak French to get a job in pro sports, but in Quebec it matters. You can bet if Jacques has any success this year, he will be named head coach next year. Huge win from a public relations standpoint, and the Als need it.
