As the NHL and NHLPA moan away at each other, over this side of the pond tonight we're honouring one of Canada's own and one of Britain's adopted sons Steve Moria http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=35385 and http://mocat19.wordpress.com/
After 27 years a pro, Steve retired at the end of last season at 51 years old.

Tonight at the Basingstoke Arena is his testimonial match where a Moria select team takes on the Basingstoke Bison to send him into retirement in style.

Just thought it was a nice story to celebrate.

Man that's a great story. You never hear about all the Canadians who play over seas. Many have great careers that we never hear about.

Speaking of argueing millionaires. Ironically it was the 2005 lockout that got me back into the CFL bigtime after really not following Canadian football very much during the late90's/early2000's. I have never looked back. Love the sport of Hockey, always will but the NHL can rot as far i am concerned. :ΒΈ

I'm getting more and more fed up with the NHL and the years go by. I do love Jr hockey and the World Jrs is my favorite hockey at this point. Once we move to the Peterborough area we'll most likely get seasons to the Petes. That's a great old barn they play in.
