I know that some of you have expressed no interest in monitoring player activity on Twitter, and I admit that I sometimes regret reading players' posts. Sometimes all one learns is that a player is more of a doofus than previously suspected.

It is, however, rewarding from time to time. For example, Ron Flemons is a pretty funny guy: "No tvs on a 5 hr flight..no problem...I'm gonna find out about @ChadOwens2 childhood, @CVZ54 fav color n when @bwelltweets had his 1st kiss" (Thursday). Also, correcting friends on minor details is a trait dear to my heart; here's Ron correcting Mike Bradwell: "@bwelltweets: Chance for 1st place overall. What an opportunity. #gameday #Argos”....technically got to win by 10 points" (earlier this morning).

Funny, smart, and slightly pedantic... go Flemons!

Those of us living far from Toronto never get to see the players up close and it is difficult to get much sense of their personalities. Twitter can add a surprising amount.

I really don't get into twitter, but I always liked Flemons. He's a very personable man, and despite what some think, a very good football player.

He seems like a humble player, who isn't flashy but at the end of the day gets the job done.

Wobbler I can understand some peoples love of twitter but it's not my deal.I know a few people who are addicted. However it felt great to be around some of the players the last three nights. Great down to earth guys. I miss that interaction. Plus it was great to share a few drinks with Hogie and catch up again. Of course my wife had to have her few big hugs from Mike. haha.
