- He has (for unknown reasons) dropped a bit on nfldraftscout's ratings, and is now rated #42 (http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=69042&draftyear=2012&genpos=OT) at OT. Please apply the usual caveats to these online rankings.

- He is one of two Tulsa players to be invited to play in the Casino Del Sol All-Star Game (http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2012/jan/09/2-tulsa-players-get-all-star-game-invitations/) (which I think is an Arizona-specific event).

Holmes continues to look like a guy who could be available to us next season. At this point I think GM Barker did well to (move us into a position to) draft him.

I watched the last quarter or so of Tulsa's bowl game which they lost in the final seconds. I did not notice Holmes at all which means that he must have done his job as an offensive lineman well. Did anyone else watch that game and examine Holmes' play more closely? I agree that there would appear to be at least a decent chance that he will be in Toronto's training camp in May.

mixed feelings. obviously i want all of the best young talent (especially NI) in camp... but it always feels weird hoping that our draft picks who may have a shot down south somehow drop off the radar or fall through the cracks.

Agreed. It would be wrong to hope a guy makes 5-10 times(or more should he excel) less money just because we want him to become an Argo. I hope he makes it in the NFL, but would welcome him here should he not.

I'd expect Holmes to land in a training camp somewhere down south, what happens afterwards just remains to be seen.
