Have any STHs received playoff tickets yet? The game is only a week away, not much time to get tickets into all of our hands. Any word on how they plan to distribute these?

I wasn't even contacted by my ticket rep. I left a voice mail for him yesterday, but have not yet received a call back. I'm a short walk from the offices, so I guess I will walk over on Monday and see WTF??

The 2013 season ticket renewal form had a box for 2012 playoff tix -- did you not get that?

Mine arrived in Peterborough yesterday. $96 face value. Cost me $72 bucks, pretty good deal.

Just call and order them from who ever answers the phone. No need to get them from your rep. All have access to your account.

Ah well that explains everything. I never pay attention to the renewal forms. I just usually call my rep in February to renew.

I will do that on Monday. Been crazy busy at work, and by the time I remember, it's usually just after 5.

Argos will be lucky to get 20,000 for ESF, If Hamiton was in it there would have been over 30,000 or well maybe next year !

The Argos have averaged around 24k this year IIRC and will have had a couple of weeks to sell this game. Saskatchewan would be a better draw than Edmonton but I am pretty sure that they will have a fair bit over 20k at this one. Too bad about your Ticats though.

I think it will be another 26-27 crowd sadly.

That would not be bad for a divisional semi-final game. Those are traditionally difficult sells in this league.

The Esks now are the worst possible team at least from the ticket sell point of view.
Hamilton and the Riders for sure are worth an extra 5k.

Yeah, the Argos have had trouble drawing for Eastern Semi Finals in the past with the exception of that Hamilton game in 2004.

Why would you say that? Hamilton had the east semifinal 2 short years ago vs. the Argos. Great game, argos won. The attendance was 26 to 27 thou at Ivor Wynne so i can't imagine why you would think the Ticats in Toronto would result in over 30 thousand? Sure the Ticats will get a bit higher attendance but not that much more. The walkup should be large and we could be looking at 26 to 28 thou for this game which would be awesome. Fridays game had over 27 and the entire bowl had a nice full look to it.

Because it's true, ESF at IWS had 28,000, last weeks game had 27,000 because 5000 or more where Ticats fans. When Argos play in Hamilton you would be lucky to get 1000 Argos fans ! You will see next Sunday !

It isn't just the Argos though. Most teams have had trouble over the years selling this game. One of the exceptions is when the Roughriders visit one of their Alberta neighbours and, yes, the Ticats did a good job selling tickets in '09 and '10. They may very well sell out in Calgary next week but that is certainly the exception to the rule. At least we won't see semi-final crowds like 12k (Winnipeg, 1988) or 13k (Edmonton, 1996).

That doesn't acknowledge the fact that u guys could not sell your eastern semi 2 years ago. The Argos have been averaging around 23 for the regular season so predicting a crowd of 20 thou for a playoff game is both idiotic and trollish.
Realistically they should get a crowd of over 25 thousand because of the fact it is the playoffs. I would be shocked if the crowd is under 25. On top of that, i was at fridays game, i would put the Ticat fan numbers at around 3 thousand. You guys had a few sections on the visitors side and then were scattered around the stadium in small pockets. I was actually surprised how few Ticat fans made the trip considering the playoff implications.

YAH ! That why the Ticats Fans were louder than the Argos fans, I dont know what game you were waching, the whole side behind the Ticats bench was Ticats Fans ! Probably upwards of 6000 in my humble opinion !! Even the Sask game only had 25,000

And the reason its going to be less than 20,000 is there are only about 8000 season ticket holders, good luck selling 12,000 to the casual fan. especially in Toronto. for example i have 4 season tickets with the Argos and i am only buying 2. If Hamilton was in it i would have bought over 20 tickets.

Dont get me wrong i hope and wish there is over 25,000 but the reality is its hard to sell playoff games because it is from the start, they have to sell every ticket, even season ticket holders have to buy a ticket in a short time.

Look again at all the seats available

Which, if memory serves, was played on a Friday night because of the Wiggles being booked into SkyDome that weekend. I loved the atmosphere of a Friday night playoff game and would like to see the league try that again in the future. I know it will never happen, but I wish it would.

I never said the Ticat fans are not louder. Of course they are! I hear alot of Àrgos Suck` but not much `Go cats Go`, they are obsessed with us.
There is no way there were 6 thou ticat fans there. And lets just say there were, thanks for proving my point. if 6 thou were ticat fans, that puts Argo fans at 21 thou for a meaningless game using the B team. So again, predicting a smaller crowd for a playoff game than for a meaningless game that ended Hamiltons season makes no sense.

Oh, and i sat behind the Ticats bench (row 12) at the 55, It was hardly all ticat fans, I expected more.

Too be fair, have you ever driven from Hamilton to Toronto in either direction on a weekday evening, it's a friggin 65 km parking lot which makes a usual 50 minute trip into a possible 2 and a half hour nightmare...that's tough to get any fan to do especially if they work until even 5pm, let alone 6pm. Depending on where you are, the GO Train is not exactly for everyone either.

The Argos have over 10,500 season ticket holders, not 8,000
