Apparently he wants to move to an eastern team. I'm not sure if I'm that interested. He's not the answer to our receiver woes.

I'd have no problem bringing him in. When he was with Winnipeg, he looked quite good, but seemed to get lost in the shuffle in Calgary where they have good quality depth at NI receivers. Plus, he's a Scarborough. Love bringing the home town kids back.

True, Franklin would not be the answer, but he would certainly help solidify the position.

i love having a hometown homeboy on the roster... but my recollection of Arjei was "fast but no hands"... am i remembering unfairly?

I don't recall him dropping an inordinate number of passes. I think that he could be a pretty good contributor still in the right offence.

A. Franklin has the talent be a 60-catch receiver with Ricky Ray at QB. He's had bad luck with injuries the past couple seasons but has great hands and good speed.

Bring him in, it's not like we have a surplus of good receivers.

Six years in the CFL and he's managed 3 TDs? I don't see Franklin as ever being more than a #4 or #5 receiver. Would he really be any improvement on Bradwell or Watt?

Plus Bradwell and Watt are still a lot younger at this point.

Sounds good to me. I say local boys play for local glory. Nothin' finer. Give the Man a chance.

We need receivers. We need a Grey Cup. I need more Whisky. Robbie Burns Day. Slainte !

Bring him to training camp. I don't think he's the answer but the Argos need all the competition they can get in training camp. If he makes the team he could provide some Canadian depth. If he does not make the team, nothing is lost.
