Ok, I admit, I haven't watched wrestling since the early-mid Seventies. I'm sure the loss is mine.

I remember Sweet Daddy Seki, and The Sheik. And several others no doubt, whose names I have unfortunately forgotten.

Anyway, since there are at least one or two former wrestlers on this board (A-V?), I thought I'd mention the coolest wrestling move I've ever seen (though it was perhaps in a WW2 Commando film);

You sneak up from behind your opponent, then grab him by the b***s (Corleonies), and pull back hard, while simultaneously flipping him over backwards, and landing on top of him with all of your body weight.

Effective? Well, they usually don't walk away ... at least in the movies.

Randy "Macho Man" Savage's flying elbow smash off the top rope. He'd climb to the top and hundreds of flash bulbs would go off as he leaped.

Oh, yes, that is what it was. The Animal and Canada's Greatest Athlete, Mike Sharpe from Hamilton, were two of my favourites.

"Iron" Mike Sharpe was a glorified jobber albeit with a personality. Wasn't his arm always injured or something? Anyone else remember "The Duke of Dorchester" Pete Doherty or "The Brooklyn Brawler" Steve Lombardi?

Well...the ultimate move to turn the tide of a bout (from the GREATEST ever wrestler) Roddy Piper...was the simple--poke to the eyes--

BTW...Roddy Piper and Ric Flair are on Celebrity wife swap this Sunday...and Sweet Daddy Siki, runs kareoke every sunday night at "The Duke" (queen and leslie)

What about the DDT? It is not considered to be a finishing move today, but when Jake "The Snake" Roberts used it in the 1980's it was as over as any finishing maneuver in the history of wrestling, IMO.

Yeah that was a great finisher I wish someone uses that today! Bring back the pile driver as well!

Of course, I like Bret Hart's sharpshooter finisher. That guy made wearing tights (pink ones at that) cool.

What about the hart foundations finishing move were the anvil picks up his opponent and Bret bounces from the ropes to cloths line him!

Some tag-team finishers I always enjoyed: the decapitation elbow by Demolition, the Heart Attack by the Hart Foundation and The Shaker Heights Spike by The Beverly Brothers.

When Vince goes "OH NO" it is probably legit because he's thinking "Ah great, another lawsuit!"
