I don't know if Jones would put in a 3-4 defence, but I am intrigued by the prospect.

June 28th is a long way off, but if the season started tomorrow we'd have no choice other than to go 3-4. We've accumulated a remarkable number of interior LBs.

I don't know if he has ever run a base 3-4, but we certainly used it last season at times.

Hood has some experience - strictly a special teamer, but has put up good ST tackle numbers for the Ticats and you need solid guys there.

Beckwith is an interesting signing - maybe could win the MLB job if he is a fit for the CFL game.

As for a 3-4; not likely a base defence, but maybe we'll see it some/more, and having Pottinger and Yurichuck around at MLB types helps there - might get in some in a rotation/subbing mode, if there is only going to be one NI need apply to play on D, which i bet will be the case: Lee some at DE, maybe Laing if he shows up at DT some, plus Matt Black available to go in on some D packages in the D-backfield.

I like that deal. I have always liked Reid and think that he will be a good addition.

A decent week in Argoland - they acquired two Canadian roster players. Anytime you can get non-import players it's a good week.

Knowing that the Argos like to draft "futures" in the draft they need players now, and to get some of their prior "futures" selections to sign too........

That's a bold wager - Reid has one career start in the CFL according to cfl.ca! I agree that we'll almost certainly end up with a base 4-3 again, but Reid looks like a backup to me.

I have felt for years that one of the weaknesses of the Argos has been their non-import depth. The addition of credible two NIs, even if only as backups, is big plus IMO.
