The Esks have got rid of a couple of NI DTs in Reid and Legare this off-season; they could use a back-up to NI starter Ted Laurent i guess; Alexandre has the outstanding CIS resume, but that can mean little in the pros.

Somebody might be "thrilled" with this sigining, but i just think it's good news to see top notch Canadian talent get CFL shots even if they are written-off in their first look; all sorts of import players get repeat looks or playing time on several CFL teams.

The Esks seem to be loading up on lots of NI talent to compete in TC (former top-rated draft prospect receiver - Ismael Bamba - who like Alexandre was a (sort of) suprise late round CFL draft pick) has been brought in for an Esks TC look too i believe. Some teams already have lots of NIs to compete in TC; others = not that many and maybe they don't have need: sigining this year's or previous years draft picks can be a factor, but there are lots of - IMO - talented NI free agents available - Argos to sign some for TC ?

Alexandre vs. Cleon Laing (a top CFL draft pick) - be interesting to see if either get to make any CFL impact at DT.
