Finally, and awesome half-time act. We've got tim Hicks coming to entertain. http://youtu.be/2E064kb3UnU He is a passionate Canadian country artist, and big CFL fan, as noticeable in his video.

I know its not AC/DC, and granted country isn't a lot of peple's preference, but this guy has some really good songs. I won't turn this into an advertisment for him, but suggest you take a look at some of Tim's videos on You Tube. I'm a country boy from rural New Burnswick living in Toronto. This is up my alley.

Listen to a wee bit of country as in Johnny Cash and The Supersuckers usually rock but they have a GREAT county album called Must Have Been High.

I listen to everything, but am old school country rock most of the time. Johnny Cash, Hankk Williams Jr., Merle Haggard, Montgomery Gentry, Jason Aldean. Stuff that's got a bit of and Edge and bite. I tended to run my old truck prtetty hard when this stuff came on the radio. Got out of a few tickets too, by proclaiming "Sorry, Aaron Tippen/Waylon/Johnny Cash was on the radio"

Never heard of the guy before...but what a cool tune....and a fun video.

Usually at half time i end up doing "lines" (bathroom line, beer line, repeat)

never heard of him but i am sure its a step up from those r&b turds that usually perform. nothing against r&b btw.

I'd much rather watch the kids from various amateur leagues playing at halftime.

I'm with Angelo on this - my favourite half times are either the kids playing 2 games on either half or mascot football.....

I get the kids thing. It nice for them and their parents. My daughter will be doing the Jr, Cheer thing as she'll be 5 years old in July. Sometimes a nice concert set though can get the crowd going. Just my opinion - None of us are wrong. As long the Argos are kicking butt, you could march almost anyone out there (except Bieber - but the league would never do that ;( )

I prefer the surreal half time shows starring Mohammed Ali, Tony Hawk, Shaggy & Amanda Marshall.

Ah the halcyon days of 2002 with Garth Drabinksy and Sherwood Schwarz & his lucky loonie contests.

According to my ticket provider they're expecting some 25,000 for the home opener. Not bad but I do hope to see more for the reigning champs against their QEW counterparts. Should be a nice drive from montreal friday. I'll be in 127. I'll probably pass by the railings above sec 121 and do some lurking. :hi:

Easy for Drabinsky to be creative with Sherwood's money. The crowds hovering barely above 10,000 showed how successful that creativity was, I guess.

I felt sorry for Sherwood. He was a nice man that had no clue what he was getting into.

To be fair, attendance was much better in '02 compared to his first 2 years as owner, but nowhere near enough to recover the added expenses. It's amazing that Schwarz lost something like $15 million in just 3 seasons as owner. In '03 I believe his family prevented him from spending any more $$$ (their dwindling inheritance) on the Argos.

There has been a good documentary about Drabinsky that has been airing on The Movie Network for the last few months. Sherwood is interviewed as part of that doc and looks pretty good for a guy who has to be well into his eighties now. He meant well as Argo owner but received a lot of bad advice IMO.

I believe you may mean DAN Hicks, not Tim Hicks. If it was Dan Hicks, I'd be pretty excited.
