He only made 50,000 last year. He'd be a cheap signing by us and can still get after the QB. Apparently he's interested in the Argos and the Riders.

Meh, not sure on this one. I think we can find somebody younger and better.

Stewart is not a spring chicken anymore, but I do believe that he could be a serviceable vet and back-up. Obviously would rather some younger guys starting, and hopefully Barker lets go of Flemons, Wroten and Huntley before the season starts.

Meh, not sure on this one. I think we can find somebody younger and better.I agree. He's 36, and coming off a 6-12 season we need to find longer-term answers rather than one season stop-gaps.

As much as I loved Stewart, if such a former All-Star only made $50,000 last year and still got cut before training camp, there are two warning signs right there - the low salary for an established player and the cut.

Zurkowsky seems to think Stewart will either be an Argo, a Ticat or a Rider.
