Matthews even prompted Dunigan to say a bad word on TSN the other night.

I missed what he said but I did hear him apologize afterwards. Did he think he was off camera or did he just say it? Not sure he knew until Gord Miller apologized first on air.

Dunigan was telling a story that involved him going to the sidelines where Matthews was - this had to have been during the '90 season - with a "$%^#-eating grin" on his face after throwing his sixth interception. It just slipped out without him even realizing it. I didn't even think anything of it until Miller later apologized and Dunigan mentioned that his bad word occurred during the Matthews story.

If Dunigan threw 6 INT's in a game in '90 it had to be against WPG.

I agree 100%....

I think he is the greatest coach i have seen in MY CFL-fan lifetime (1977 to current)

Wally was great...but to this day...."The Don" was the best......

What I liked about The Don was his living on the edge, shoot out the lights philosophy. Wally, as successful as he has been, could be a little too conservative at times for my liking.

He did have a huge impact on Argonaut culture. Adam Rita and Jim Barker have emulated him as has Pinball Clemons to an extent. He had some swagger which always kept things entertaining. Too bad he was 0-8 in his last stint. I so wanted him to do well on that go around.

Could have been the best CFL coach of our time.

I try to ignore the 0-8 disaster in 2008. Unfortunately, he inherited what was already a sinking ship. I choose to remember 1996 and 1997 when we featured arguably two of the greatest teams that the league has ever seen, when every game seemed like it was Argos 45 Opponent 7.

It's a damned shame this even had to be apologized for. Especially with what we hear with sideline cams sometimes.

I agree, Ron. I seriously doubt that anyone watching the game was offended and most probably didn't even notice.

Ravi and Ron;

There will always be some offended party somewhere who has the Knights of Standards and Practices on speed dial.

It's called cover your ass as best as you possibly can.

And I was one of them. I heard him mention the story of throwing 6 INTS and then asking if he can go in to throw 7 but never noticed him say that word. That's why I was surprised to when Gord was apologizing and asked here what he said.
