As can be seen at the above link the Flying Hawaiian has 35 catches in 4 games that averages out to 8.75 catches/game. The record is 160 catches in 1998 by our very own Derrell "Mookie" Mitchell. Can #2 challenge #87's record? Currently he is on pace for 157 receptions. I think it's still early, but it is worth monitoring.

unfortunately I say NO way José. ALthough Ray likes Owens as primary, Owens will end up missing 2-3 games at some point and will continue getting heavy coverage which hopefully will open up other guys like ROmby Bryant once he returns at summers end

I don't know. He's incredibly durable. Right now he is on pace for about 1700 yards receiving which is probably not going to happen and so most likely he won't get to 160 catches but if Ray and Owens play every game it is possible.
