Dunk listed JG as one of the five 2013 draftees making an impact this year (http://www.cfl.ca/article/dunk-five-2013-draft-picks-that-have-made-their-mark) in a new article. TBH I haven't noticed Gabriel other than once or twice on special teams, but it sounds like he is starting to get some reps spelling Black at safety. That happened a lot quicker than I expected, and it seems like a very good sign. Has anyone seen enough of him at FS to have an opinion on his potential yet?

I have been impressed with him. He doesn't necessarily replace Black, but goes in for McCune in some 2nd down situations. I think he's going to be a big time contributor in the future.

Thanks Angelo. Do you have a handle on our nickel D? I've seen Horton a few times but before I can figure out who he is subbing for the ball has been snapped.

I hope everyone is familiar with Gabriel's story (http://www.theprovince.com/sports/Jermaine+Gabriel+Argo+rookie+road+pros+about+tough +gets/8723524/story.html). It's really easy to cheer for him.

I think Horton goes in in place of a D-Lineman on occasion as the Argos show a 30 look.

Gabriel looks like he is going to be "A Player". Just shows that if you have the talent now a days, they will find you.

If you ever feel inclined to describe our current offensive and defensive formations, Angelo, please do it.

I would try, but honestly, I only get a lot of basic formations. Offence especially can be deceiving with a lot of different receiver packages. When I say 30 look, it just means they take out a d-lineman and bring in an extra LB or DB. In most cases, it looks to me as if the Argos in 2nd and long situations, take out a DL and Mccune and put in Horton and Gabriel.

Looks the same for me. At the game I can barely see who's where at what but at practice I noticed McCune barely takes any reps during scrimmage.
