Number 7 talks about the 1991 team here:

"If you allow yourself to learn, sports can teach you a lot of lessons" Sage words from a guy who spent 13 years in our league, 9 of them with us.

An all star in his first season with us in 83 and one of the few who won both the 83 and 91 Grey Cups with us.

I must say....except for Holloway....Brazley was the best #7 in Argo history

He wore #2 at first didn't he? I think he tried the NFL in 1987 and Reggie Pleasant took over #2 and got something like 9 INT's. I guess Brazley didn't want to exercise that tradition of a veteran asking a player of lesser seniority for his number back.

Speaking of that, how many players were on the 1983 teams and 1991 teams? I can think of Brazley, Moen, Ferrone and Pruenster and that's about it.

A quick reference to the book "Double Blue: An Illustrated History of the Toronto Argonauts" (which I just bought this week to bone up on Argos history), I think you got them all but Hank Ilesic.

Yes, he was on both teams as well, thanks for the reminder.

I know the focus of the previous season was 1991 because it was 20 years, but I would've like to have heard a little more about 1983. But, I guess that'll be for 2013.

From a TC fan perspective Brazely was probably the no.1 target of fans at IWS during the Argo resurgence in the early 80s. Which means he was doing his job and his longevity speaks for itself.

Brazley will always be my favourite Argo of all time. His best year on the field was probably 1985, a down year for the Argos. I don't think he gave up one TD that season. And in terms of leadership, personality and spirit, he was similar to Pinball. It's no surprise Brazley and Pinball became really good friends.
